If I read one more article about emergency room visits or some kind of MJ overuse syndrome BS I am going to lose it.

It is reefer madness light and all of the articles forget the part at the end where they say, "and then the person who thought something was wrong with them went home and felt fine 12 hrs later."

I think he was talking about the need to bring in new seeds, but from what I've youtubed that goes for indoor and outdoor.. genetics will simply go stale if the same, isolated plant/clippings are reused harvest after harvest?

That's not the case. I personally have run the same strain over and over again, with no difference in quality. As have many friends of mine, that are Pros.

Taking a cutting of a plant, is taking an exact copy. There is no degradation in genetics, when taking a clone from a mother.

So much bro science out there...

Mankind has no predictable power over a plant's genes other than by selection.

Good breeders are simply good selectors. The plant does everything else.

Jeff Sessions’ Coming War on Legal Marijuana

There’s little to stop the attorney general nominee from ignoring the will of millions of pro-pot voters.

    http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...rijuana-214501

    By James Higdon

    December 05, 2016

On Election Day, eight states voted to legalize recreational or medical marijuana, bringing the nationwide total of medical states to 29. In Florida, medical marijuana won nearly 2 million more votes than Donald Trump. Added up, 65 million people now live in states that authorize adult recreational use; more than half of all Americans have access to medical marijuana; and almost everyone else lives in a state that permits CBD, a non-psychoactive component of cannabis that helps treatment of juvenile epilepsy. It’s easier now to identify the six states that have done nothing to end the prohibition on marijuana than the ones that are breaking away from the federal law that treats marijuana the same as heroin.

There was another winner on November 8, however, and he has thrown up a serious challenge to the seemingly inexorable march of legal marijuana. By nominating Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III for attorney general, President-elect Donald J. Trump is about to put into the nation’s top law enforcement job a man with a long and antagonistic attitude toward marijuana. As a U.S. Attorney in Alabama in the 1980s, Sessions said he thought the KKK "were OK until I found out they smoked pot.” In April, he said, “Good people don't smoke marijuana,” and that it was a "very real danger" that is “not the kind of thing that ought to be legalized.” Sessions, who turns 70 on Christmas Eve, has called marijuana reform a "tragic mistake" and criticized FBI Director James Comey and Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch for not vigorously enforcing a the federal prohibition that President Obama has called “untenable over the long term.” In a floor speech earlier this year, Senator Sessions said: "You can’t have the President of the United States of America talking about marijuana like it is no different than taking a drink… It is different….It is already causing a disturbance in the states that have made it legal.”

Yeah. Do you eat bananas? They're almost all clones of other bananas.

Strainhunters Jamaica was what I was thinking, but that was outdoor genetic disruption from local bushweed. Been a few years since watching it, @ 22:00

That's the nicest shop, I have ever seen. They spent some money on that.

I bet they have some of those silly $100k rigs.

At the bike shop last night and my mechanic mentions a 60k device. I'm like wtf are you taking about? His is worth 15k or so and was taking about a friends and another guy who just sold his for 100k. My mind was fucking blown. Here I am trying to justify buying bike shit or a new fat bike for 2-3k and they're buying bongs for 100k and I can and have smoked out of a used beer can in a pinch. Apparently they can appreciate over time, so it's an investment? Unless you drop it!

Have any hydro growers thought about or used automation controls for stuff like water flow and feeding mixes? Stuff like monitoring of correct additives/fertilizers and monitoring of water flow, lighting times, temp control, etc? You could also monitor electrical usage and whatnot.

Just wondering how useful this would be to a big grow op.

I know with lighting that many use a time clock to mimic the sun. They also have the ability to ramp up the lumens and draw them down similar to a sunrise/sunset with the dimmable LED's.

I used one of these for every 10k of lights.

There are a myriad of options available for automation.

Considering entire skyscrapers and factories operate on control systems, automation for anything is out there, even if you programmed your own plc's.

The Gavita controllers and "E" lights are all you need. So awesome, completely get rid of all the old antiquated electric mechanisms, mimic the sun sunrise and sunset, control temperature, etc.
