So I am lucky enough to get to throw my story into this thread. My brother just got diagnosed with Adrenal Carcinoma and it sounds pretty much untreatable. He has 3 girls 9, 7 and going on 3.

Fuck cancer.
Saw this article recently. I'm admittedly not up to date
On treatments but this CRISPR sounds interesting.

Edit: Fuck Weibo, I'm very sorry to hear that.

I still call it The Jake.
Sorry to hear, weibo.
Weibo go give him a hug from us![]()
Weibo, fuck. Sorry.
Damn weibo
Sorry
I was thinking about this thread recently but didn't post. Cousin had an operation Friday, it sounds like the news is relatively good as far as the tumor location goes. Biopsy results on Wednesday = thanksgiving location tbd. Onward I guess
Fuck Cancer! And, when possible, kick its ass!
The big C is not always a death sentence. I just had my penultimate throat endoscopy on Friday, not quite 4.5 years post-treatment for throat cancer. Still the best recovery ever and I'll hit my magic number (5) in September. Hoping that many more of those unfortunate enough to get diagnosed can join the ranks of the survivors.
That said, I was so saddened to learn of Sharon Jones' losing her battle with pancreatic cancer. I was privileged to see her perform last year shortly after she had discovered that the disease was again active. Since that time she continued to perform with the energy and enthusiasm for which she was famous. The world is a poorer place with her loss.
If it's too loud, you're too old
RIP Sharon Jones.
(let's throw some Prince in there ... cause ... don't need a reason)
Friend and fellow volunteer on our local trails steward group just died of pancreatic cancer. Three months diagnosis to death. Fuck Cancer
So sorry, weibo.
Sorry, weibo, that sucks.
Yep.
Wife and her cousin have been close. Her husband was diagnosed last week with pancreatic cancer. They caught it early we hope. Headed to Duke for the Whipple procedure.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).
Anyone have advice for dealing with not keeping food down? Mostly seems to be due to stomach getting squashed by a tumour pushing up on it.
Work some ensure into the mix maybe, vibes bro.
Brother got a hormone shot as part of prep for the procedure to install the radiation pellets.
Buddy is fighting heavy doeses of chemo to treat acute leukemia, he is staying upbeat. Been calling him to talk.
watch out for snakes
I agree with the ensure--small amounts frequently. I'm not generally a fan of feeding tubes, but if the cause of the vomiting is mechanical obstruction from the tumor they may be able to get a tube past it one way or another. That won't help if the cause of the vomiting is a general deterioration in his condition.
Well that came quicker than I had hoped. My bro died this morning, about 1 month from his definitive diagnosis and less than 2 from his first test (ct scan). Still waiting to hear what the exact cancer was but an aggressive Adrenal Carcinoma is the base.
Fuck Weibo. Sorry
Fuuuck, weibo, that's rough. Condolences.

Damn Weibo. I hope that you'll have great memories of him for the rest of your life.
Sorry for your loss, weibo.
Sincere condolences Weibo
