Fantastic machine. But that gets into super car territory, and my preferences leave Porsche.

Having said that, if I was gifted a 911 turbo..Well shit

Agree, as I think the Boxster is a much more accessible car, in terms of performance.

It's a 40-45k TRD Pro 4Runner, so probably about the same price as that Boxster, or close to it.

I bet the Timex has Indiglo too.

20k mile new body Boxsters are actually in the mid 30s.

Anyone driven the GLA45 AMG? No manual and awful wing, but curious about the ride.

Maybe uninspiring isn't generally the right word. Go drive the mk6r and mk7r back to back and let me know what word you come up with...
I'm thinking of getting one now. 340xi, Golf R or JCW Clubman. The only 3 MT/AWD worth a damn.
    Also:
Did the previous owner do the armrest mod? IOW, does the armrest work?
Does it have the spare tire mod, so the Fender bass fits inside?
    Has the soundaktor been removed?

Gave that car a hard look, but couldn't even test drive a sissy-matic.

I saw one of those Mercs in traffic and shuddered at what someone paid for a hatchback. Fun or not.

The armrest mod is done - flips up from the front to a 90 degree angle. If you didn't know it was an issue, you'd never know it had been any different. Has the standard sound system, not the Fender. Stereo sounds great - I'm 40 - I don't need a dedicated subwoofer. Haven't removed the soundaktor - just roll in individual mode with it turned off. Will not make any changes until I'm committed to the car, and then the change will likely be an AWE SP exhaust.

Drive the new R and you'll realize that neither the 340 nor the Mini will get it done. Even the Focus RS, with all its extra HP and special AWD is only marginally faster, and not nearly as comfortable. If you have the mk6 R now, and want more, I don't see how you can choose another car.

Don't know where you're located... The other one I was looking at was in Flagstaff. Those were the only two within 750 miles of Denver. Half tempted to sell this one here and go buy another one.

    This one looks promising:

I've driven AMG E55 C43 S63 and CL63. I prefer the standard chassis in all for bumpy American roads and speed limits. If you want a powerful Mercedes SUV try an ML550.

A nice preventaive thing is to get 3M or similar protectant on front bumper + hood. It can make a big difference after a few years and eliminate the need for a respray.
