Today's technology. My nieces baby pulled herself up for the first time and my sister was able to video it from a phone. Pretty cool to have that and send across the country to relatives instantly. Things like that stand out imo vs the typical bs that is sent back and forth.

Then again, when I was in a long distance relationship (with who is my wife now) we probably would have killed each other or broke up if we had cell phones back then. Too much communication readily available at a moments notice is a bit much.

3 years ago my wife and I were drinking an afternoon away in Key West. I heard some good music coming out of a bar so we went in and watched the band. We had a great time. Cancelled our dinner reservation and stayed at the bar. We chatted with some of the guys in the band after the show, and that was it.

I had given one the guys my number and told him what town we live in. I said if you guys ever swing through, you should play at such-and-such bar. I pretty much forgot about that whole conversation. Yesterday I got a phone call that impressed me. Dude called to say that they will soon be playing in the bar that I mentioned and he'd love to see us and catch up.

even on my safari, it looks rad.

My roommates ability to party and hold down a real career. IDK if she weights 100lbs and drinks bourbon like a champ. Also she gets ready for work faster then most doods I know.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

One timer from the blue line that the center/winger up front deflects in for the goal.

My new Santa Cruz mountain bike. But it's not just mine, it seems every new 'decent' bike is just unreal. The advancement in just the past two-three years is pretty impressive.

It just makes it so much easier, therefore so much more fun!

Sitting out in the yard on a lounge chair in the dark on a perfectly quiet and warm summer night with a finger of single barrel bourbon looking at the stars and the moon and the planets with roses fragrance wafting by. For a few moments, everything seems okay.

The guy I have dubbed "The Heavy Metal Gardener." Every summer for a whole bunch of years now he puts up a small garden plot on the side lawn of his apartment building and rocks out all day long all summer long. Sketchy looking apartments. He's got a nice set up. Some folding camp chairs. A cooler. A mini Weber black ball. A hose. A boombox. AC/DC and Iron Maiden. A woman. He spends a lot of time tending that garden. It is a pretty nice garden. If he has a job it is a night gig.

I am impressed. He's got style. This is the shit that impresses you thread. Not the shit that annoys you thread.

Some years he has even had a beach umbrella or other portable shade.

There, they closed the highway for a weekend, slid a pre-built structure into place and woila!

People that can read a lot of the ridiculous bullshit on this forum and for the most part ignore it.

Reince Priebus couldn't run a lemonade stand let alone a train wreck of a political party. Shit flows down from the top!

I'm considering moving north of the border, or maybe Iceland based on the skid mark of choices we have here...anybody know of any real estate in Reykjavik[emoji6]? Do they get decent snow?

My rear tire on my mtn bike has 15-18 pin holes with Stans bubbling out slowly and my tire is still inflated. Going on over a week and 3 rides. Damn impressive.

How it happened is beyond me. Never seen a tire do this before. Thorn bush musta got in my way I guess.

Years ago I rode for a glorious day in the desert in AZ and after replacing multiple tubes finally gave up and got new tires. I could never get all of the cactus spikes out.
