I dunk worms. Pink ones. A lot. With a Sage One.
And I don't care one fuck what you guys say but my Sage One helps me rip trout off the Redds like no other rod. Ever.
Sometimes I use streamers or eggs, but it is always to spawning fish, they are waaaaaay to easy, really surprised there aren't other guys doing it too?

I like to fish with dynamite, but sometimes I want to mix it up, so I put some tannerite next to the water and shoot it with my .30-06. Sometimes I really want to mix it up though, so I take my Sage One and tie on a live sculpin with a treble hook that I stuck in its ass and fish with that.

Sheeeitttt!! Good stuff but I thought you Montana boys knew that to get to the real fish, you need to stomp through the redds and wade out tits deep to swing your two hander through the main channel. Oh and simms gear helps your bacon and eggs

Bumping to say with the new latest and greatest by Sage rolling out now is the time if you are thinking of buying yourself a One.

I hear good things, though I went ahead and added a 6wt One to the arsenal.

I broke a 6wt ONE on a fish yesterday. Obviously, they are shit. It was a really big fish, though.

Jesus. I took mine out for its inaugural mission this evening and landed a meatball bow while thinking the 6 really took the art out of the fight. That must have been a real pig

I also heard good things, plus I made the mistake of using Schwertys a few years ago. So I added a 5 wt to the arsenal.

I'm a fan. Might consider adding another if they are cheap enough.

One of our local shops has them at 40% off : http://www.fishwest.com/p/sage-one-rods-1

I wouldn't be surprised if you could talk any shop into doing that same deal right now if they have some on hand.

My first troot on the new One was a big fat bow. Im happy to report that thanks to my far superior fisher skillz over Umderoos there was no rod breakage.

I didn't have thenOne on my arsenal at the time. The South Fork was good, not great but good. Unfortunately the biggest hatch going off were all the douchebag guides.

I call bullshit. Tail-first shots skew the perspective. Everyone knows that. That fish is like 11" tops.

FWIW, I broke that rod setting the hook. I'm probably the awsomest trout setter, especially when I'm streaming with streamers. Broke the rod and broke off the fly all at once. No shit. (That part is actually true) The fish was really big. At least 14".

No way man that net is hudge that fish was at least 12-1/2 inches.

Well of course an esteemed trout setter like yourself could snap a rod on a 14" fish. A fish that size will put a serious ass kickin on carbon fiber.
