Bromontana, actually I'm completely fine with all of the various Porsche liveries, I was more or less trying to exacerbate the douchyness of said "lucky' driver! fail on my part.....

2D8 signal green is a spectacular color on a GT3RS, so is 8C6 Pure Orange,but I'd feel like a "Peacock" in such a car, and probably go for white or silver with no stripes etc.
this is the first car that totally left me smitten as youngster! I'd still own one happily

Well Beerdrinker, you are the car guy, so tell me, don't standard colors sell the easiest? the reason I ask is because in the 80's, I regularly got passed by Sir-Mix-alot in his hideous but appropriately sprayed metallic purple Lambo or his matching Turbo Carrera (with extra large subwoofer) on the I-90 bridge; it was a sight to behold - Now both those 2 cars regularly show up at various auctions with a few snickers & no takers. I'd think had they been left "normal" they'd rarely come up for sale?

Modifying a car, the way a rapper would, is a bad idea.

As far as running a Porsche store, you can get caught up in the safe colors, like everyone else.

There are black/black, silver/back, and gray/black 911s all over the place. Those are the safe colors, so dealers order them for their allocation.

No dealer is going to order a paint to sample for their allocation, but I always tried to keep a few red and yellows in stock. When Lava Orange came out, people loved it.

Now every 991 GT3 RS you see is Lava Orange. It's a tricky thing, building cars for allocation.

The strangest color Porsche that I have ever owned was Casis Red. Sort of like a metallic light purple. Ugly, but sweet, at the same time.

^^^^And always an expensive example of a P car that I have really wanted. Years ago I found a 996tt in a very light green (maybe it was mint) with a white interior. Just a gorgeous car but the auto transmission killed it for me.

Casis Red. My mom has a 1988 944 in that color. Sometimes looks silver, sometimes even pink. Cool looking car. Wish it was a 911.

I need a clue. Missing the problem here. Looks like the car needed to get lifted to get the arms underneath. Then it looks like they wanted to lift it further with that jack stand (which is probably not on a mount point).

Car is low.

You have to be Carrera GT certified to work on them. I think also a Gold Meister Level.

Funny how some folk didn't get Ceramics on what is basically a Le Mans car.

I just think that color is hideous, and brings out the worst styling qualities in the GT.
