I had a couple of these things and they roared. They had these Mikuni cars that were knockoffs of the Weber 2cDCOE 40s that I put bigger jets in.

My cousin had a 2000. He was all of 5'8" 150# so he actually fit in it. I was ~10 yrs old and he took me for a ride to Bear Mtn along the Hudson River. He was a F4 pilot in the USAF at the time, and drove the car like Viet Cong were on his tail. Left quite an impression on me.

And helluva fast around the track with some mods and in the right hands. I had a E30 M3 that was punched out to 2.5L with Evolution cams and those pesky little 2002tii's were always in my mirrors in certain sections .

One of the best buys right now is a 456 with a manual. Low mileage cars for under 50k. Gated stick, mated to a V12.

This one is 48k and has less than 18k miles. Even if it needed an engine out belt service at 15k, you are still under 65k for a car that will be worth more than 100k. Manual Ferraris are getting snatched up and skyrocketing in value.

512s are in the 300-400 range. Same with the Dino.

All are pretty ugly.

My dream Ferrari to own, not sell, is a 410 Superamerica.
