I'd just buy a Boxster instead. The cars are too similar in performance not to enjoy the rag top.

    I'd totally take a Spyder over a GT4.

My skin can not take the sun, so I will stick to the coupe. God, I think this car is soooo sexy. GT3-4

Fucking TGR Can't you guys get a photo up-loader that works every god damn from my computer.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

If you can gather up a few spare quarters from your cookie jar and under the couch cushions, you might wanna consider calling about THIS v quite fine little ride!!

    https://classiccarweekly.wordpress.c.../18/dauer-962/

Okay...it might take more than a "few" quarters. It's been documented at 251 mph....and it's road legal.

Check out their other cars, too! Some nifty cars on THAT 'used car lot'!!

    That was great.

Seeing that 718 and then looking at the redesigned 718 Boxster you have to say, "yeah, they nailed it".

Yep, but not so much with the Cayman. Maybe I am just a hairdresser at heart and like the Boxster.

I think if you want a roof you go with the 911 - most beautiful roofline ever done. Boxster looks fantastic top down

You want to talk about cars that are worthy of comparison to the 918, this is it. 30 years ago the foundation was laid for many technical advances in manufacturing of performance cars to come.

Sold for 150K pounds, but it cost 350K pounds to make.

I nearly got a red with white hard top Defender about 10 years ago, when they were still reasonable. Got another fun car instead. I'm a fool apparently because they just keep going up in value for clean examples.

My father bought an 84 380SL several years ago and at the time I tried to convince him to look at some early 70's 280SL's instead. The best examples were in the mid-20 thousand dollar range. I guess they're getting a bunch more for them now.

    Wow!

Another 10 years and the '84 might be in the same boat. He loves the car and drives it a lot.

Last Defender rolled off the assembly line this spring . A 58 year run, including all the Series, too, with not many body changes. In fact the fenders of Amy Defender (90) will fit my Series IIA, with only very minor mods needed because of wheelbase difference!!! That's a helluva long run!!!!!!

Sad when last one rolled off the line, though!!! End of a unique era. My rover goes up every year...it will go up even more now.

Oddly, middle east sheiks have been paying up to $90,000 for a Series rover restored to uber-mint condition...which companies like British Northwest Landrovers specialize such concurs restos.

Mine draws heads now that it is fully polished aluminum to a high sheen.

    488 every time.

    Thing is sick.

While on paper the 911 is in the same league as the 488, they just aren't.

Awd vs. Rwd. And that 458 has some big ass wheels on it.

458 is such a better car than a Turbo S.

Ferrari makes a more rewarding car. It's just a fact.

They have something that is undeniable to the driver, that the Porsche lacks.

    Poor reliability?

I'd have the Ferrari for a weekend rental. I'd buy the Porsche. A buddy of mine had a 308 and then a 348... Incredible cars that were certainly sexier and "something-er" than any Porsche I've ever driven (and I briefly owned a 993 C2. I was 20... I'm probably still alive because I sold it so quickly). They both gave the dude perpetual fits. I realize the newer Ferraris are somewhat more reliable than they used to be, and I don't have any personal experience with them so I can't say for sure, but I don't think anyone would claim they get into Porsche territory for reliability and day-to-day usefulness. And the new Porsches are fucking fast... Is the 488 really any faster than the Turbo S when there aren't Ferrari engineers around to fiddle with it? It's certainly slower off the line.

2012+ Ferraris come with 7 years pre-paid maintenance. Most new Ferrari buyers are out of the car and into something newer within that 7 years.

The dual clutch has dramatically helped Ferrari reliability. Granted they aren't cheap to service, but neither is the Turbo S.

Reliability really shouldn't be a concern when buying vehicles such as these.

I disagree... although that's totally my personality... "Sexiness" rapidly turns into "pointless design choices" when the damn car is dead on the side of the road. I have no patience for it.

I should have said cost of ownership shouldn't be a concern.

I've been stranded in a Panamera and a 85 Turbo.

Every car can break down. You're not really trying to say that those anecdotes justify claiming that Ferrari and Porsche reliability are generally equivalent, right?
