I'll take one if you've still got. I'm up on Donner this weekend.

It's gonna be a long fun spring!

Y couloir in Sonora pass. Is the river crossing a problem on a snowy year?

I meant to mention that. A lofty told me on Tuesday. Welcome to the new Vailwood, where they don't even tell you in advance anymore because they know how much they suck for closing so early.

If you are going to close in mid May, at least keep it all running.

kW used to close 2,3,4 two weeks before closing. So that timing is not new. It's just the whole place will shit down in two weeks.

    BTW, TC closes next Sunday.

For a change of pace we went poking around the North side of the lake starting from a hood in Incline, for the most part we found the terrain to be pretty mellow, but the views are big and the corn was smooth. But to keep things interesting we found a couple features to play on and built a booter. Still happy to be based out of the south shore

Very Nice. And you proved that I no longer Live in Incline. I was off by 3 or 4 Miles on the View.

the fact that you hiked up from Incline makes it even more Cool.

It's doable on an average year. Hear anything about opening date?

Sonora Pass at the hairpin...on big years, there's a nice snow bridge. As it melts out, so does the water level...and if you are really concerned you can always start at the top of the pass and then get a little wet on your exit. Even on a big year, the river was only up to my knees and thus doable.

Two years ago, 666 personally destroyed the snow bridge. Go to 2:40 for videographic proof:

Great video, although I did mute the audio and watch while listening to Tom Waits Heart Attack and Vine.
