Yep. Same deal last week. This time of year heading over towards saddle and high yellow is nice since you can get your turns in and escape to the groomer before it gets sticky, whereas beaver, Estelle, etc are great up top but making it back to summit can be brutal / scary.

Mixed bag at KW yesterday. I soon found myself searching out lower angle untracked. The 4" of near blower on a solid refrozen spring crust made for some interesting skiing. Founds some decent steeps in lower cirque and corner chute, as well as lower left of hells. Best snow was sidecountry. Boulevard looked funky but the the deposit on top of the cliff into Broadway was money. Best snow of the day was the lower angle under radio tower down to the lake.

Got another inch last night. Should be a good powder day with my son. And mid winter groomers.

I've got 35 lift served days this season and have had warm, sunny weather maybe three days. Doing something right.

I checked out the Lake Run from Donner Peak yesterday, hoping for the 12" that Sugar Bowl reported. It wasn't nearly that deep and the eastern aspects were scoured. Cool tunnels though.

edit: Dunno why the pic is sideways. The tunnel wasn't that cool.

ID:	179527 Dust on crust now, should be a quick transition to spring conditions. Fully supportable even on north aspects, just needs to soften. Crampons or booting was needed to get over Maggie's pass. Click image for larger version.

Gray creek/Relay Ridge was pretty amazing today. Gray creek chutes were mostly scoured on top but there were spots it was really good and the snow everywhere else was deep. Ran into JT with his buddy Mike who thankfully put in a skintrack to the zone I wanted to ride. He also gave me a ride on his sled down the road on the way out. He saved my day!

It would be nice to see ABC run in the spring but too much to hope for I'm sure.

They appear to have no interest in clearing out that giant snow pile in the unload area from ABC... it would be nice, but on the other hand, it does keep people away from over there and you can be rewarded nicely for a simple 3-5 minute hike.

Been a while since I was at SB, but I always imagined more rock. Those lines look damn filled in.

And palisades are closed..... I'm sitting at sugar bowl right now. There is more filled in than the past few years (obvious). However, there are plenty of little steep and narrows shots with mandatory airs that typically "go" by end of March. Imo, there is going to be some good skiing at SB after closes

Closed today? For accuracy; My Pictures where taken off of Silver Bell. Some might not call that the Palisades. And Yes Very filled in. I skied over stuff that I know is covering 30'+ rock outcroppings and Drops. they are just gone. There is a line pretty much every-where you go.

Lake Tahoe 2015/16 - Year of Godzilla Baby Jesus

I also skied sugar bowl on Wednesday. Palisades have not been opened since last weekend. There are currently no tracks in the palisades area west of Lincoln. On Wednesday, I skied the same area that you (MTT) skied on Thursday. It was really fun in that area.

Conditions have been pretty damn good, especially compared to the past few seasons. On Wednesday, the steeper lines skier left of Lincoln were pretty scratchy and all the nice new snow had been scrapped/sloughed off. Everything lower angle was soft and sweet.

crazy how much this area has filled in.. we were trying to put on the banzai when it dumped 3+ feet in a few days and the hip jump we lapped in there is completely gone. no launch at all anymore, to the left of center in this pic. haven't been able to ski in 3 weeks so i haven't been able to check it out, funny seeing these pics here

In a similar vein, the Palisades at Alpine Meadows has literally no rocks or cliffs exposed anymore. It looks like one consistent slope. Pretty crazy. Should also make for some fun spring lines opening up as the snow-pack melts back down.

I'd be interested in one or two vouchers if they are still available and we can figure a way to hand them off. Lmk, thanks
