Actually, I think If I had a great big living room well that was 40 ft high and painted stark white, that black 911 that I posted, drained of all fluids, would make an awesomely provocative wall-hanging. And way less $$$ than an original Warhol.

I think what continually keeps the price up on 911s, even with their high production runs, is the same thing that old E-types sell for way more than their production volume would dictate....they are just plain SEXY.

Happy to hear of anyone being an air-cooled purist. Keep those water cooled prices down for me just a little longer ;-)

    Car Porn.......beauty meets speed (SFW)

Just picked this up, 2016 Fiesta ST with recaro package. Absolute blast to drive so far! Feels quite similar to the S2000, I was surprised.Click image for larger version.

$40k for a Focus just seems wrong.

Agreed but 350hp, awd and all sortsa goodies that should add up to a really fun and capable car. If it bothers you/me/whoever that much I bet the badges are removable

$40k for a Tacoma or F150 seems more wrong but millions don't seem to care.

Yeah, I mean, the specs look great. Just didn't realize the era of $40k hatchbacks had arrived.

Truck and SUV prices are out of control. I'll be talking about how candy bars used to be $0.xx before long.

I could probably sell my Tahoe for what I paid for it in 2011.

Don't buy that 911 just yet: What Scottsdale auctions' sales declines mean for collectors

    February 10, 2016

Even the once red-hot air-cooled Porsche market is showing signs of hitting reverse while trying to find first. 911 prices were down about 20 percent from last year in Scottsdale, according to Hagerty. Air-cooled turbos seemed to be fetching less as well, in a case of perhaps over-supply -- they were literally everywhere. All of this is a welcome sign to those who viewed the Porsche 911 market as overheated.

Barrett-Jackson saw the largest year-over-year decrease in sales ($102 million versus $132 million). With so much money over the last few years coming from North Dakota and Alberta oil men, it’s not surprising that they were down. Canadians were in especially short supply, reeling from a weak Loonie and $30/barrel oil.

    for the gentlemen

^ sounds good to me. Was just looking at 964's again and decent ones with less than 100k are currently on offer for $60+k. No fucking way am I dropping that kind of money on a 27 year old car with 70k miles on it.

Supercar bubble is about to pop. 993Ts will drop the most, I imagine. 918 too.

    The 718 Boxster looks great.

Is that a 540K? I can't see any North Dakota roughneck picking one of those up no matter how much he was making in the oil boom seasons.....unless he just happened to OWN the oil field supply company.

There are only 6 in existence; so the odds of any in N.Dakota is pretty slim esp since last one sold for 11M+
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.
