    Day 2 - http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...hanted-valley/

The visibility looked not bad so we thought we’d head to the alpine to see how it was fairing in the Selkirks. Unfortuantely the light was flat and] the alpine wind affected so we opted to drop into a benched slope of Robert Smith and do a couple of laps in there. The snow in the trees was much better then above so we headed to the Enchanted Ridge area and did a couple of laps in deep pow.

Someone from our group almost had to do that. We got him a sled ride up to Gibsons. Would've been just 2 hours!

OK day 3 bluebird http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...-and-key-hole/ -more details there and more alpenglow bluebird pow pics

Day 3 – Sunny day up Pyramid to the Repeater Tower, Battleship laps

We woke up to Blue Bird which means we tour into the Alpine! Our objective was to ski the Key Hole. With the wind affected alpine we initially decided not too. We were also going to ski into Joker basin, but again the winds kept us away. We turned back to the Battleship. The main group skied Smugglers trees and the Apron, we skied the Battleship twice and Smugglers bowl. Lee and Stu decided to hit the Key Hole, Linda and I did another lap down Smugglers, then Pyramid and got back before it got dark. Awesome sunny day at Kokanee.

Took an easy day after the alpine shenanigans - http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...d-kalmia-lake/

Today the weather was overcast, but still cool. In the morning Lee and I did a beacon search in the Kokanee Beacon Basin, then we headed out towards Smugglers bowl to explore that area. We did two runs off the Apron, snow was pretty good, but the winds were howling! We then did a run down to Helen Deane Lake and off Kalima Lake or Radio Ridge to Keen Creek. The snow at tree line was again the best.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

OK more snow and more snow http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...-bonanza-bowl/ - more pics and the
    map

Today the weather was again overcast and warming. Since the best snow was in the trees and above 1900m we opted to check out Sunny Smugglers and Bonanza bowl in Happy Valley. Sunny Smugglers was good, bit heavy, so we toured into Bonanza bowl figuring the slightly more eastern facing slopes would be better and they were! 12cms new

Watched a pineapple warm front move in with bated breath hoping we didn't get rained on. We awoke to -2 deg C and snowing skies, the pineapple missed us! Since it was quite stormy we opted to stick close to the hut and ski the trees up Griffen creek. We found good stability and snow.

Over 30 cms new. 40 in some areas. Trailbreaking was harrrrrdd http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...griffen-creek/

and nice and dry back at the cabin

It was a pain in the ass skifish. Five of us put in for the lottery. One of us won. but we love the terrain so it helped

Our last day and one more blast of pow http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/k...n-deane-ridge/

Friday we had fresh snow and broken skies. Not clear enough to head into the alpine, that and with the refresh we probably wouldn’t have gone there anyway. We opted to ski below treeline on Smugglers Ridge, did one skin up to 2300m on the Apron, found it quite wind affected, then finished the day skiing down the Helen Deane lake to shred some pow!
