Just checking in here - I'm headed to OR in January and soli is on the list of places we can shred. Would love to meet some mags when I head out there.

Anyone know the status of the new Summit chair? The website hasn't listed it as open as far as I know. Not sure if this is due to mechanical reasons or conditions.

According to one BCC source, there will be an "announcement" tomorrow re: Summit. Doesn't sound good.

From their FB page: "The NEW Summit Express chairlift is scheduled to open by noon tomorrow (12/24/2015), upon completion of avalanche mitigation work, weather and conditions."

So my skepticism was thankfully ungrounded.

My son carried on the tradition today, he said he got the last parking spot in the lot at 10:00. Sitting in LCC traffic on non-closure days sucks, I either have to go back to BCC next season or get up even earlier than I already do.

Low post count because I'm too busy working and then skiing, but not neccessarily in that order.

2900k is a tough drug to quit. Skied an untouched Cham Bowl today as the rope was pulled, we stopped to take pics and the only other person that came down was the troller that pulled the rope.

I'll be back to knowin next Saturday.

So true. Vertical is just hard to give up period. Whenever I come back to LCC from British Columbia, or places like valdez or the alps, it's crazy how it can take several weeks to even feel like LCC's vertical is enough.

Nice!! Just saw your powder pic. Looked fantastic. I hope there's a little something left cuz I'm heading up now.
