Prepare for the Greatest Shitshow on Earth™

Vail reported more than double than all of the other resorts, Epic Local pass is not blacked out today and I-70 is open. All of the signs point to a shitshow of epic proportions.

Maybe the Broncos game will keep some people in Denver today?

Broncos always keep a good amount of folks off the road, but still...

It'll be busy, but the dense deep snow yesterday likely took the wind out of people big time. Guessing morning and after lunch will be pretty quiet, espec due to the Broncos game. Insanely busy from 10-12 though I bet.

I wish that was true Lindahl - exit backed up 1.5 miles and Lionshead gondola line across the bridge...

Oh well - will be enjoying the front side while Jerry rushes back to Blue Sky.

Deeper than 9" at boat. Very dense and surfy fun once again. Winds pulled a number in some spots but got rewarded with above the knee all morning. Skis put away wet at noon. Great morning.

I had at least 16" in my driveway this am (up Lynx), shoveled at 8pm last night. A buddy up in Clark below Hahn's had a solid 24" this am, also plowed at 8 last night.

Dec and Jan have not disappointed. I haven't had this many face shots since '10-'11.

This. Front side was barely touched for most/all day. First lift was the only line of note all day.

I've been saying the same thing. Just before vacation is icing on the cake.

Nice pic! Similar results at east portal. My camera timing wasn't as good though.

Next week's broncos game is a bigger deal so I'm really hoping it has an impact on crowds. Of course if they make it to the Super Bowl Feb 7th will be nice and quiet.

El Niño in the San Juans is unreal!!

Overhead conditions in Revelation Bowl at telluride Saturday. Rope drops on Revvy and Gold Hill 1 were the best in-bounds skiing I've seen in years. Stoke level was through the roof. No pics of that as it was game-on.
Yesterday (Sunday) in the Ophir Backcountry served up 2000' of untracked blower. Click image for larger version.

I go to Miami Beach for 4 days and Colorado goes full on nuclear winter. Such is the curse of a maggot going on vacation. Oh well, pretty nice here.

Yeah, Sunday was about as good as it gets out there! Great to finally meet you too. Bumped into Summit also out there - great to meet you also, man!

Snow settled BIG time today. Goodbye blower. Still deep but heavy and not so Japanlike. Sunday we had to porpoise to breath. Today we had to porpoise to move. Still awesome though. Better than rain? Haha.., did that last time we had conditions that good (14/15 Thanksgiving).
