Anyone have experience with the FNH FNAR 308? I just realized that since the pistol grip isn't beneath the action it's avoids the CT 'assault weapon' bullshit and are on sale with CDNN for $899. Since they come with 20 round mags, I'm having it shipped to a friend with an FFL in a free state, and he'll then send it to a FFL in CT who can transfer it for me and I'll deal with the mag situation separately.

Any quirks, or things that I should know about the gun?

The FNAR? That's an FNH rifle. It's more or less a Browning BAR that accepts double stack magazines.

Finally got my stock back from Manners for the Tikka T3 Lite .300WM. Initially I was told 8 to 10 weeks--it took 8 months. But...it was worth it. These stocks are truly a thing of beauty.

FNAR is a shooter, but as mentioned the mags are outrageously expensive and it's a bitch to clean (not AR-like).
I had one, but sold it.

It's the Sig P556 with a 10.5" barrel, it comes with the brace. Happy with it so far.
