Sweet, I haven't been in there for ages. I guess with Stan's and Sportsman's WH open, things are getting more competitively priced.

Both stans and hooked only mark their guns up 10% over cost.

I've found that when I spend less on a gun, I eventually get rid of that gun upgrading to a better platform/brand.

Might as well, just buy the best from the get go, and save money. LWRC M6 IC PDW. Or any LWRC.

Oar u can start with a good receiver and build it up with the best parts one has available. Some sweet drop in triggers out there under $200. Free float a slower twist barrel and a coated bolt with a nice stock and sum Trijicon optics and dun.

Seems a lot of people agree with this thread...185,000 background checks on Black Friday...most ever in a single day.

Im good at grilling, but Ill leave the gun building to the experts. I built an AR pistol and it never felt solid, like my LWRC.

Like the EO's a lot, but you may want to reconsider if you can kill the order. In sub freezing temps, poi can shift as much as 20' @ 100yds. No bueno. Big .mil push to get everyone over to aimpoints.

I'm sure that Triji TA01 will always do the job in a pinch though

Just got a Century Arms milled AK47 with the Zhukov furniture. I want to run an Aimpoint t1 on it. Any thoughts on the best option for optic mounting? Seems like there are 3 different rail styles - dustcover replacement, sidemount and gas tube rail (ie ultimak.) Any thoughts on which one is the best?

I bought a dust cover scope mount few years back and was under whelmed by how cheap and flimsy it was.

I would say either side mount, closer to eye, or piston/gas tube rail mount, further from eye. What evah you get make sure it will co locate/ not interfere with the iron sights.

I run a h2 on a RS Regulate sidemount system and think it's great. I'm using the front biased lower and akml upper piece.

If you just want a rail, people seem to have lots of good things to say about the Arsenal sidemount rail.

I ran a milled century underfolder with palm furniture, which is about as low as you can go and only got lower 1/3 which isn't a co witness at all.
Don't mount anything to the piston tube(there is no gas tube) and most dust cover mounts you can put on a century suck too. You need to do something to the barrel for it to work decent unless there's some mousetrap I haven't seen. The scope rail on the side was made as an optic mount so it should be okay but I've never run one and they are going to be a higher option.

So.... I might have $5750 to spend at a local shop, what should I get???
    Pimped out used zev $1500
    3 gun nordic benelli $2000
optic? + magpul offset sites?+ for the $2250

Yeah, but my Ak has the fancy Zhukov furniture so I don't want to switch it out to a rail. Was thinking this (https://troyind.com/products/ak47-rail-top-blk) or an Ultimak.

If I didn't get the palm, I would have gotten the ultimak, I still think it's going to move a little.

It will look cool though, so there's always that.

Ug, my lwrc 10.5 5.56 upper with sites was more like $1200-1300 which I thought was a deal.

Used to have a long barrel ar setup and was impressed with its accuracy in the hands of a noob like me. Kind of wonder why the shorter barrels are so popular though, we don't clear houses Ramadi style in the usOa, but we prefer that stubby barrel setup for distance biased AR use?

Love the 1911 style too btw, one of those and a made to order benelli s/a and I'm set.
