I demoed the TECH TALK JONG! pro model this spring and their performance was unparalleled which is good because I ski in a wedge most of the time - bendtheski, 2011

Looks like the Chinese spammers have found a way to tell us what college to go to.

And thanks for the comments on the pictures. It was a productive 12 hours for picture taking (sunset to sunrise).

Competed in my first climbing comp today, in the intermediate category. It was a team thing, and I maxed out the possible points for my slot so they bumped me up to "advanced" where I promptly ran out of gas and finished pretty much at the bottom. Still, competing is kind of a thrill, I was never really into it before. Good times were definitely had, and looking forward to getting out again on real rock now that the temp has dropped below 1 million, centigrade. And then skiing. And then challenging everyone to Chinese Downhills and dance-offs.

    carry on.

    PSA Pro Ski Night

Hey ECRCers, we (Allspeed in Portland) are hosting a pro night Thursday October 29th. For one night we are offering qualified ski industry professionals pro level pricing with the ability to try on a pair of boots, feel the flex of a ski, or see how a jacket fits. We have a pretty good selection of backcountry and all mountain ski gear from some great brands (highlights include Scarpa, Black Diamond, Dynafit, Blizzard, Technica, DPS, and more). If you're interested in attending, please send an email to prosales@allspeed.com and tell us why you are an active ski industry professional. Pro's only please. For more info on the event go here: https://www.facebook.com/events/821371314648997/

Nice one man! Yeah the whole aspect of linking up with folks for a friendly comp is super fun! Count me in for Chinese Downhill, I'll bring my hockey pads.

Fall is taking the backstage with this extra month of July we are experiencing currently. I have been dicking around a lot the last month and riding the bike, a lot. Back to the grind this week.

    Backyard chucks are happy

Pesky crows are cawing right now, probably a half dozen this AM

Couple of weeks back I saw this longneck dog in the drive

Quickly grabbed and ate a fat mouse

    Kinda cute

Couple of woodies searching for ash borers in the front yard

While spinning the MTB wheel last weekend I snapped a pic of the remnants of the last safety shack at the bush. This one was the best, although I stopped partaking 15 years ago this August it was still a great place to hang with the crew

Some fun riding in the woods of Eden [better than the skiing]

    Like a petting zoo

New Valley House will unload even with the top-o-Steins

    Watch out Gepeto

While not on par with NEKs vistas, I had a nice display of color Monday while grilling some salmon

    Bird was flying yesterday

One month to ULLRFEST, punch your livers kids.

Great photo set VTF. Lots of wildlife still out and about in these summer temps. I love the fox shots.

Thanks, always amazed at what is around the yard, no moose yet, although I have seen them a couple of hundred yards away.

Chilling with a beer on the deck the other day and caught moonset over Lincoln Peak, shot 3 ways...

Another awesome week and another on the way. Only issue is it is crazy dry, water table be low. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?04288000
