Right-no EBT carrying people would ever get fat on their own accord.

PS-the real story is that woman is 42 and has 6 children, 1 of them who at 16 is throwing bricks at cops.

But to hell with things like responsibility for ones own actions.

Thank you Pow, that was my point.

I think people here got distracted by the white guilt comment and couldn't read past it. Probably struck a nerve.

"People are at a breaking point, tired of "authority" getting a more than free pass on its behavior." Never said personal accountability.

Yes there are real race issues in this country. This event gets turned in to a race riot where I see it as more of "authority" (cops, DA's, judges, law makers, Senators, big banks, etc. etc.) running amok and getting free passes at the expense of our people.

I think the race thing gets played up by the media because its easy and its an easy distraction. Just like people get side tracked/distracted by the whole Dem vs. Repub. thing. Not that racism isn't real or that it doesn't play a part in all of this but, for me, the bottom line is that the authorities need to be held accountable for creating much of this mess. The war on drugs, privatized prisons, sweetheart deals for bad cops, bad DA's & judges, the list goes on, that feed the sytem all day long. you can only dish out this bullshit for so long before people break.

    So this just happened:

I'm loading my car at a grocery store in very white Kensington MD. A harried looking young man is talking to some lady while he and two store employees are loading cases and cases of water and Gatorade into his car parked next to mine.

Lady: Are you having a big party?
Dude: No, these are for the police and National guard in Baltimore who are keeping "those people" from turning into even bigger animals.

(That made me pay attention and I kinda stare at him. Keep in mind the 2 dudes helping him are black. One rolls his eyes at me.)

Dude: Now please, ma'am. I'm in a hurry. [To helpers] The back seat and trunk are full. Can we tie the rest to the roof somehow?
Me: Well, you're not gonna get there anytime soon.
Dude: But i have to! Traffic isn't that bad yet...?
Me: No, in fact you're probably not going to get out of the parking lot. You've overloaded your suspension and your car is resting against the top of your tires.
Dude (looking at his car): Oh no - what will i tell my boss? [whips out cell phone]

Motherfucker was actually trying to fit ~50 cases of liquid into a goddamn passenger car.

An investigation into the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray has found no evidence that his fatal injuries were caused during the videotaped arrest and interaction with police officers... Sources said the medical examiner found Gray's catastrophic injury was caused when he slammed into the back of the police transport van, apparently breaking his neck; a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van.

Details surrounding exactly what caused Gray to slam into the back of the van was unclear. The officer driving the van has yet to give a statement to authorities. It’s also unclear whether Gray’s head injury was voluntary or was a result of some other action.
    Ummm... yeah.

If we all thought Monday night was bad, can you imagine the reaction if the official story given to the people of Baltimore is that Freddie Gray BROKE HIS OWN NECK?? Although, there was that dude that supposedly shot himself.... While in police custody......In handcuffs. What a shitshow. Might be time to take that summer vacay a lil early, Grape Ape.

A breakdown leaving the parking lot would have been perfect and allowed those black guys a good chuckle.

Meh. I wouldn't want him to somehow make it onto the street (or worse, the Interstate) and get in a wreck. What I find amazing is that he didn't think to buy the stuff closer to Baltimore - Kensington is nearly an hour away!

BTW, Stiyvesant Town apartments are renting now for about 3500 a month (two bedroom). Back in the Road Warrior days you conjure up in your cinematically warped mind, there was a waiting list two to three years long to get into that complex, and a serious vetting process after your number came up. Quite the crack filled housing project, it was. Again, go fuck yourself and your lies.

My experience in Stuye Town was around 84/5. Was scoring regularly from one of the tower superintendents on the ground level. Northwest corner. No working lamps and the stench of piss in the hallways. Elevators didn't work for days at a time. Women getting robbed of their grocery bags in broad daylight. Dog shit everywhere you looked outside. Coke whores for the taking. If there was a waiting list, it had to be for the Housing Authority finding shelter for the destitute. It might even have been rent controlled at the time. WTF are you talking about.

Did the area make a turnaround since then? Maybe Koch stepped up and made a difference after I quit the zone and the habit. I don't pretend to know. To make your ignorance even more demonstrable, my rant was to exemplify the existence of real police states as they are experienced by the inhabitants. Whether it's all a figment of my imagination or not, the point was salient.

Time you hit that special mattress and rest up the 10% you have control over.

Dog Lives Matter (now before Doughboy flies off the rails because his reading comprehension sux, and Db, Old Goat and Pet Powder follow blindly) let me just say that I do like cats and other animals too.

Wyckoff officer kills dog in wrong-address incident; owners distraught [video]

    http://www.northjersey.com/news/wyck...ideo-1.1321614

"The chief said the officer fired his gun four times to get the dog to release his foot, and two of the bullets hit the dog. Ferreira was uninjured in the dog attack, the chief said."

"Fox also said that there is information on social media stating that eyewitness accounts differ from the police version, but his officers haven't been able to locate those witnesses despite canvassing the neighborhood. Several officers were out on Lawlins going house to house Thursday morning.

"If there's people who are saying somebody saw something different, we're looking for that person. And we don't have them yet," he said. "I don't believe these people exist, quite frankly, but we're going to attempt to do it."

OK--I guess I can buy that. Your last sentence didn't seem to make a lot of sense in the context of the rest of your post. Kind of a stretch to go from "white guilt" to holding the Man accountable in one paragraph. My remarks still apply, just not to you, although your use of the phrase "white guilt" still makes me uncomfortable.

The Police Commissioner has said he has not disclosed information so that info won't hinder the prosecution.
I was wondering about him. Just saw an interview of the guy who was in the van with Gray on CBSN.
He said they intentionally gave Gray a rough ride to injure him.
Previous statements attributed to this guy saying Gray hurt himself appear to be bullshit.

They're holding this guy and others like him on A HALF MILLION DOLLARS bail for rioting.
I feel like maybe there's a defect in their police car wind shields if they can't stand up to a traffic cone.
I'm also pretty sure there's a defect with their judges if they're holding rioters on $500,000 bails. wtf is that shit? Are they trying to make it worse?
    No longer stuck.

BALTIMORE -- The mystery surrounding Freddie Gray's death deepened Thursday with revelations from the second prisoner inside the van with Gray. Donta Allen had heard Gray trashing about and didn't see any harm done to Gray, according to Baltimore police. But on Thursday, Allen told WJZ-TV he heard more than just Gray's movements.

Donta Allen, the second prisoner inside the van with Freddie Gray

"So when we got to the station all l I hear is them (police) like, 'we got him, we gave him a run for his money,'" said Allen. The police denied that Gray was given what is known in Baltimore as a "wild ride," intended to frighten or even injure prisoners. But Police Commissioner Anthony Batts has admitted mistakes were made.

"We know he was not buckled in the transportation wagon as he should have been," said Batts. "No excuses for that."
