Yeah, unfortunately translating that into officer convictions with a no snitching policy is a tough one.

Yeah, "no snitching" looks like justice to me.

Still no leads on this one. Despite a tiny "community" and tons of witnesses. Go fuck no snitching. You're no urban hero.

When nonviolence is preached as an attempt to evade the repercussions of political brutality, it betrays itself. When nonviolence begins halfway through the war with the aggressor calling time-out, it exposes itself as a ruse. When nonviolence is preached by the representatives of the state, while the state doles out heaps of violence to its citizens, it reveals itself to be a con. And none of this can mean that rioting or violence is "correct" or "wise" anymore than a forest fire can be "correct" or "wise." Wisdom isn't the point, tonight. Disrespect is. In this case disrespect for the hollow law and failed order that so regularly disrespects the rioters themselves
Oh, what a fukkin shame these cops got rocks thrown at them. They act like innocent people should get killed for no reason with impunity, ooze the vibe that they are above the law and then act shocked that people throw rocks at them. We should be thankful these protests occur. The alternative?

First off, I'm not commenting on nor supporting corrupt/criminal police action.

Secondly, your post could not be more ignorant. Thankful? Protests?

Get a clue Splat. These are riots not protests. Tell the people in Baltimore whose nearly completed
$8MM senior center just burned to the ground last night that these are just protests. I'm sure they'll understand why the people who complain about an unfair system torched a place that could have benefitted their community.

I've just started following this thread but I have to say I'm a bit confused when a white AARP member gets all "fuck tha police" online toughguy - especially when that same toughguy posts pictures of nazis clueless as to the irony when he himself is guilty of suppressing dissenting speech by abusing his quasi-moderator privileges and deleting threads that are critical of him.

#hughconwaymatters would have a field day with this.

Rioters passed out from all that stolen booze and narcotics. Not sure they'll be able to rally from the hangover for another go tonight, plus, no booze or narcotics left to steal in the hood.

That's right, most clueless bootlicker. You and hugh was tight, I get it. You been hanging on his dick for months now. However, if you want to compare hugh getting deleted because he protested to be deleted to people protesting because they're getting killed without reason, your cluelessness is cemented in your ignorance, as usual. What a fucking moron, grasping for something to hang onto and trying to make a point that doesn't make a point due to the sheer ignorance of the comparison. You follow me around and make stupid comments almost daily like a special olympics candidate waiting for a medal. It's entertaining. Please continue being an ignorant bootlicker and supporting your local murderers, fucktard.

DBS is right. If you get off the propaganda channels of your tv, a revolution is brewing in the undercurrents of America much like it was in the sixties and seventies. I welcome it. The fascists killing people to protect the 1% enslaving and killing the rest of the world to hold onto their power need to be banished.

Hahaha. Wow, reading comp fail there pal. Who cares how Hugh asked to be banned. I was pointing out how ironic you are by calling those that smother dissent nazis when you, Splat, abused your quasi power as a pseudomoderator to delete Jer's PMSGear thread because it made fun of you.

    Who's the bootlicker now?

And making fun of special Olympics participants? Real classy you empathetic motherfucker.

But again you missed my point. Read line one again and again until it sinks into that 60 year old coke addled brain of yours. I don't support corrupt or criminal police behavior and they need to be held to account.

I'll wait to see you and the other white geezers of Tahoe in the streets rioting when that one black guy in town gets roughed up. ATTICA!

Oh, and care to explain how burning down a senior center or the only nice pharmacy in the area helps these people?

If they don't come back stronger tonight they are just drunken thugs. 1967 Detroit. The gold standard for riots:

The result of the Detroit 1967 12th street riot was 43 dead, 1,189 injured, over 7,200 arrests, and more than 2,000 buildings destroyed. The scale of the riot was surpassed in the US only by the New York City draft riots, during the U.S. Civil War,[1] and the 1992 Los Angeles riots. The riot was prominently featured in the news media, with live television coverage, extensive newspaper reporting, and extensive stories in Time and Life magazines. The Detroit Free Press won a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage.

I know you're all butthurt because I point out your stupidity daily, bmills. I got all day to watch you try to find your cause celebre that will finally grant you that feeling of superiority when you bring it all home, tie it up into a tidy little bunch and once again, show what an ignorant fucking bootlicking ignoramus fucktard you really are.

Good response hypocrite. Care to explain why you deleted that thread?

Or how burning a senior center is helpful?

You edgy, sad, old, white, single guy, you. Rise up indeed.

The 1% has always been in charge and will always be in charge. Only thing that changes when a revolution happens is the people who are in charge change. As the saying goes, "the more things change, the more they stay the same".

You guys sound like a bunch of pussies. Bmills and splat, is this some kind of weird homoerotic mating ritual where you dance around each other slinging insults until you finally embrace and fuck each other until you're both raw and bloody?

Ahem, can you say asshole white people that drank too much? This also happened at St. Louis baseball games after Furgenson. Don't fuck with our prescious sports! But, on top of all that, let's not forget who Baltimore was hosting that night. Yuppa, the Red Sox! Been there a few times during Boston series. More Sox fans than Oriole fans. Rowdy bunch. And we all know how Boston residents have shown their love for black people before.......
    Coincidence? I don't think so.
I was born and raised in Baltimore and it's still the city that I call home. I was at one of those bars before the game (specifically Pickles), and I can say definitively that "asshole white people that drank too much" were NOT the origin of the"skirmishes" around the stadium. That being said, the protests that were going on were 95% peaceful, organized, and purposeful. However, scattered throughout the peaceful protestors were a different kind of "protestor" that were clearly there with the sole purpose of "shutting the city down". Regardless of whether or not they were "out-of-towners" (as some news sources have reported), there was a very apparent and distinct group of people within the peaceful protests that were committed to violence. That being said, to say that drunk-whitey was completely passive in the violence occurring outside the stadium would be misleading, but the folks going around saying that the protests would have remained peaceful were it not for a clash with drunk O's/Sox fans are talking out of their ass.
As I sit in my Baltimore county office now I can hear sirens outside of my window, all Baltimore city schools have been closed and some county schools probably aren't far behind, colleges are closed, businesses are closed and some have been burned to the ground, and last night's and tonight's ball games have been cancelled. What is most heartbreaking is watching local news this morning and seeing hardworking, honest, and kind city residents cleaning up their streets with broom and dust pan and not able to go to work, because their work no longer exists or refuses to open because of threat of violence; that is the real tragedy. The mall that is considered to be the origin of yesterday's riots, Mondawmin mall, was recently renovated and a brand new Target store moved in less than a year ago. Now that mall has been destroyed, Target is in shambles, and now has great incentive to pack up, move out, and take all those jobs with it. These areas of Baltimore are now poised to remain ghost towns for years to come. I do love this city and all of the great things that it has to offer, I bleed purple and orange, I went to high school and college here, I've drowned myself with Natty Boh in Fells Point and Canton, and have been known to eat steamed crabs and Berger cookies (look it up) until I'm sick, but after the last few days I have to say I am embarrassed to be associated and ashamed with Baltimore. We're better than this... I promise.

Not until he takes me out on a proper date first. Ya gotta have some standards.

In this context we present the following culled from Twitter messages posted by Orioles Executive Vice President John Angelos, son of majority owner Peter Angelos:

“Brett, speaking only for myself, I agree with your point that the principle of peaceful, non-violent protest and the observance of the rule of law is of utmost importance in any society. MLK, Gandhi, Mandela, and all great opposition leaders throughout history have always preached this precept. Further, it is critical that in any democracy investigation must be completed and due process must be honored before any government or police members are judged responsible.

That said, my greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state.

The innocent working families of all backgrounds whose lives and dreams have been cut short by excessive violence, surveillance, and other abuses of the Bill of Rights by government pay the true price, an ultimate price, and one that far exceeds the importance of any kids’ game played tonight, or ever, at Camden Yards. We need to keep in mind people are suffering and dying around the U.S., and while we are thankful no one was injured at Camden Yards, there is a far bigger picture for poor Americans in Baltimore and everywhere who don’t have jobs and are losing economic civil and legal rights, and this makes inconvenience at a ball game irrelevant in light of the needless suffering government is inflicting upon ordinary Americans.”
