As the designated "human drag anchor" of the group I was happy not to repeat one of the mistakes of my last tour with Jonathan, never use an untested sock for a long tour...

Brought a prop today for Berkshire East so as to summarize the snow conditions:

    Page 200!

Went out this afternoon only to discover my bindings were broke. Forgot how much fun it is to launch off moguls and land in the next trough.

This is for you Train, hope you're well.

Last call for xc skiing today in Southern VT ... and quite the contrast with this park only a few miles away yet already in full summer mode.

For those who often skin at Mount Snow post-season, please honor the request not to do so this year, especially with skinning-friendly Stratton and Okemo nearby.
(Okemo will reopen for next Fri-Sat-Sun, but uphilling is always allowed there, whether operational or not.)

For the safety of both guests and staff, all travel on the hill will be prohibited until we reopen for summer operations. This includes hiking, skinning, skiing, riding and snowshoeing. Heavy construction work across the entire mountain, while upgrading and improving our snowmaking system, will be dangerous for any kind of foot traffic. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Anyone who the film crew was in tux yesterday? They were hucking some legit carcass.

What a day it was more windy in the parking lot.

These people apparently own the whole trail.

Over heard a lady telling the group of people she was with at HoJos that Hillman's highway was the gulf of slides and tux was Huntingtons. I can't even imagine what wold happen if someone in that party was injured and used a cell the call for help only to send the help to the wrong place.

EAST COAST ROLL CALL #8 14/15 A NEW HOPE

    Happy 4/20 folks!

Scored the lucky chair this weekend. That's the problem with an urban ski hill. Can't escape the Graf punks.

Closing weekend was pretty rad. Made the best of an early morning window for soft laps on Saturday before it started to pour pretty hard at 1pm. Coverage was still quite good. An abundant harvest of manky, golden corn.

It was fun to watch the various ranges, and systems swirling above them. (iPhone shot does it poor justice). Eventually we got nailed. But man! Riding was fun while it lasted. The ominous clouds resulted in literally zero lineup.

Sun was blasting on Sunday, so i had to go back to the hill. I did not want to miss people's many awesome spring outfits.

Things got so warm n soft n wet... Especially the bumps. You get the idea. Spring riding at its finest.

More next weeekend? Tic toc indeed.

It started with a plan to hook up with a good crew at Barnes Field Campgound. Forgotten sleeping bags (totally my fault) had my wife and me checked in at the Royalty in Gorham for Saturday Night.

Saturday was a GOS day for me and a Wildcat day for my better half.
    Topped out:

    Without the old guy:

    Where is the bottom?

Sunday, Tuckerman Ravine for me, shopping for Mrs RR
Had to take this, "Climbers and the Mist"

    Ski it if you can

Bromont looks good Melonman, we were over at Sutton Sunday which was awesome. Also used the broken bindings all day which was a blast in the soft bomps. Days like that end way too quickly. At least they kept the chair open til 4:30
