Going to take the little guy out for his first turns this week. Even he has a quiver he can't fully use.

So I went up to 8812 bowl today, for what was probably my last touring day before I head back to the EC ()

Overall a great day, skiing was good, quite a bit of wind blown soft stuff in the bowl with no tracks. There was a breakable sun crust from the sunny weekend that made it a bit challenging below 2000m or so. Skinning traverses on wind scoured faces was also pretty challenging (I'm looking at you, east face of bruins ridge, I actually had to self-arrest once by planting a pole under my ski when I lost both edges)

I have to say though, you guys are hardcore. Ski touring is hard.

Nice work out there... Some great shot and skiing even though its been tough all around.

A scrappy day out last weekend at Little White. Some great lines in the area that would be a lot of fun with a little bit more snow. A little bit of an approach, though...

Nice!! I have always wanted to go up there. Next year if there is a winter hit me up, rip up on the sled a bit easier I think!

For sure, Hefe, a sled would cut a fair bit of the slogging... Still hopeing for a good storm or two yet this year, though

at ww- 25c in the last 24hrs.

super crazy line up, I mean why would they extend the maze when it hasn't snowed in a month and it's spring break and the Glory chair shut down yesterday?

Did one run then the power went out. They offloaded one chair with the back up gennie.

    Went home.

Yeah keeps changing, should know better to post stuff from 3 days out!

Fingers crossed, looking like the north side of the HWY will be better. Looks like I am heading that way this weekend. Fingers crossed for a cold april. Seems like the way things have been going lately. Cat ops closing have been the best ski days for me the past few years.

Couple of feet in the monashee! Rained up to 1800m last night. Reports of numerous size 3's in the alpine at Monashee pow. Be careful out there. Heading to Eagles with a large posse tomorrow, watch out for the shit show.

Wicked day of sledding, avi conditions were too high to ski anything worth skiing when the sledding was epic. 2ft+ up at Eagles pass.

A few more. I messed up my sled and my body pretty good smoking a tree. Then tried my hand at dropping a cliff on the sled, that didn't turn out too well either. I should stick to skiing and taking photos of good sledders!

The sled road out of Eagles is pretty much half mud all the way up to 1600m. Only about 1ft of snow left up to that elevation on any south aspects. As soon as you hit 1800m there is good coverage though. Snowing pretty good to 1100m in Vernon today.
