I hope this warm weather continues. Yesterday I went mountain biking and today I skied. It sure looks like it's going to be warm for the next 10 days.

April pow day(s) WILL happen. They always do.

Everything I heard was pow and windless this weekend. My personal testing confirmed. Unbutthurt continues.

Butte was good. Teocalli had quality leftovers. Banana was nice and mushy in the afternoon.
Teo 2 never opened though. Map below.
Good to get away from 70 and try somewhere new.

^^ Yeah, Teo2 has some eastern exposures which will get it shut down with these warm temps and wet slide concerns. Glad you had fun elsewhere though.

Inconsistent weather but sunny and fun with friends and family is awesome. Constantly reminded how great this sport is.

Nothing that sweet, but A Basin opened the East Wall. It was super fun, but the bottoms of my skis were not too happy afterwards.

Ok the last time I did this we were followed with a ton of snow for a few weeks, so this for the collective benefit:

With the warm temps anyone comment on the front range (+\- 2 hours from boulder) trail conditions, I've got the bike bug after Fruita last week, anyone been out last couple of days?
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

    gmen.

^ I was on Dakota ridge yesterday all dry, but looked like a lot of snow still up on Falcon and Apex.

All of the lower trails in boulder are totally dry as of today. Betasso isn't quite ready but might be after the 80 degree weather today

Hall and Heil are perfect, Devil's Backbone and Bobcat Ridge (in Loveland) are perfect, and a handful of trails down around Golden/Morrison are in good shape too. I heard the lower trails at Curt Gowdy up in Cheyenne are GTG as well.

I'm guessing Buff Creek should be mostly rideable by the end of this week, I'm thinking about heading down there Wednesday or Thursday.

A basin was pretty good Saturday, I enjoyed it. Good chop in the bowls and soft bumps and trees.

That being said, put the summer tires on the Truck today. Still leaving the weight it just in case

it looks like the knuckle-like feature below the east wall; lookers left from the chair.

Yes. That picture is from the fun area below the east wall. I like that spot- lots of fun things in there. I have low standards..I'm an east coast kid...and I thought the east wall was super thin. I had just mounted a new pair of skis, and they got pretty beat. That said, it was super fun.

It's A-basin, you will hit rocks. But that's all part of the fun.

The dirt's probably good but the CF of USFS closures for the next month and a half might make it not worth the drive. I'm jonesing for a buff creek ride pretty bad, but I think I'm just going to wait until everything's open again.

I can ride during the week right now, so I think it's still worth it. Start at Pine Valley, go up and over and down Sandy, then up and down on Kitty (or Shinglemill/Morrison Crk), then up Baldy and back down... Still a decent ride assuming things are all good.

I've still never ridden from the Pine Valley side. I look forward to hearing how it is if you go.

Abay was good Sunday but was utter shit today. I think it hit 60. Saw an f-18 buzz Zuma bowl though, that was cool.
