The whole team is good, but there will be a wait for appointments with the principals. Work done at all the major Longwood area hospitals and also NE Baptist.

Dr. Henry M. Toczylowski understands skiers. Loon is his home hill. Dr Toz, has done some work on one of my knees. He is with Longwood Associates and does surgery at NE Baptist. Dr. Bill Shea, also at Longwood Associates, is another having done work inside both my knees.

There are others I could mention but those two groups are the best in my surgical record.

    186cm 4frnt Renegades, 185cm Patrons, 186cm Sickles, 183cm TSTs .

I basically wish I could ski the Renegades all the time, but hard pack is not fun on them and usually avoid using them if there is more hardpack skiing then not, but they get the nod for basically anything touring in the Notch. Patrons rock but are not as quick as the Renegades in tight trees no touring binding either far better in skied out terrain though, Sickle for touring when I knew much of the runout would be bumps.......TST because they were new and wanted to see how they did in newish snow. I have a gear addiction and locker at the bottom of the hill is the worse thing for it.

Its locked up tight, need at least 6" of dense to make it any fun, a foot would make the drive worth it. Sounds like some R could be mixed in as well.

    Mount Greylock Thunderbolt rando race

Radio feature on the Mount Greylock Thunderbolt rando race:

    http://onlyagame.wbur.org/2015/03/14...ki-run-nowicki
(The text is good, but the audio is even better.)

Mass start (Dark Star in the green vest over the yellow & black La Sportiva suit, me in the center with the Dynafit snow leopard):

    Racer who came in 4th:

    ... in 1942!

Then flew B-24 bombers in WW II.

And now at 93 years old now, while I shivering in the cold weather despite my big ski patrol parka over a down jacket and insulated vest, he seemed perfectly comfortable in a thin jacket, minimal cap, and no gloves.

Thanks guys. Looks like it will be a last minute call. Worse case scenario I'm watching Cinderella in Hooksett.

    Please snow.

Thanks for posting that link...great story.
I had the honor of Steve Nowicki putting a medal around my neck after the 2014 race (3rd tele) and I will never forget it. The Thunderbolt is truly a special place.

Heading up to Woodstock VT for a non-ski trip (anniversary), next weekend. I'll be able to get a quick morning tour in, on at least one of the days. Any suggestions for something relatively quick and easy in the area? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post the suggestion here.

    Yah man!! Enjoy!

Slash n berm was Awesome!! Super fun to hang out with some VT boarders all day. Good mix of boy n girl shredders and posi vibes all around.

The course itself was GNARLY!! There were berms, gaps, drops, big kickers, a log a-frame and some rails. It was pretty intense and more than a few of us were a little gripped before each of our two timed runs. But it was SUPER fun.

I wont embarrass myself by saying how I placed, but to my credit, the competition was Olympic caliber. Scotty Lago took first place! Not sure why the photo I took came out so weird?

Thanks a lot for the hookup Biggins!! Looking forward to the third edition and competing with you next year!

Got another day to explore K tomorrow. Nice spot. Conditions are crusty right now, but still super fun. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the hill.

Also, Homestyle Hostel in Ludlow is a good spot to hang your hat on the cheap if you're not fussy about shared accommodations.

Hey all, a family friend was badly hurt in a skiing accident two weeks ago, his spinal cord was severed and he is paralyzed from the sternum down. He is in good spirits, and a great athlete, and we fully expect him to get after his rehab like the champ he is. We would like to put together a sit ski for him, and are looking for a suitable ski to use. I am thinking something wider, but with metal and sidecut. An older Blower or Katana would be great, or even a Mantra, Bonafide, Explosiv etc. Anyone holding a spare they would be willing to donate?

Super shitty news Wheeze. Always hate to hear about that shit. Had fun at the Mighty with a couple of groms who found the conditions more to their liking than the old farts.

Though much fun was had I for some reason find it necessary to do a little venting tonight. WHAT THE FUCK is up with ski racers and their parents? I've known entitled assholes all of my life but nothing tops these clowns. Apparently it is mandatory that one bring a coffin-sized duffel bag into the lodge and spread that shit out all over every table and chair in sight. Cubbies and hooks? Nope, too cool to use them. We'll just leave that shit wherever it lands. And don't even get me started about the food. Just leave half-eaten shit on the table (within clear sight of the trash cans) and if you spill something, for God's sake don't lower yourself to clean it up. Oh, and while you're at it, please do bring your fucking poles in the lodge and act like you own the place. And yes, please do show up at the table where I am eating and try to claim it because you left your shit in the middle of said table three hours earlier. And when I politely explain that this is not how it works, please do be an asshole. And that steak knife you used to cut the cheddar cheese you left on the table? Don't bother to pick it up, just leave it sitting ALL day in the middle of the fucking lodge where any little kid could pick it up and slice themselves. God forbid you actually pick up after yourself and act like a responsible young adult or parent. Hell, the world revolves around you, you special little racer snowflakes - why would you do a damn thing to be polite? There must be a cleaning person to pick up your shit, right?

I have an 180 Brahma that can be yours(well his) . If we can meet up I coach adaptive lessons...and would do it for free assuming I can make the time. Where does he normally ski at? Does he have full use of his arms? Sternum down can sometime be in a Bi ski over a mono skis. Its a toss up but Mono skis are far easier to ski when you have lower core strength/control.

He appears to have use of his arms. He'll be in rehab at Craig in Denver for a long time, so assume he will have access to quality adaptive instruction. But if he comes east, I will definitely try to hook him up with you. Thanks for the generous offer! The Brahma would work well, especially to start. Do you get to Burlington at all? If not, I can arrange to meet up with you closer or my brother can.

We had a lesser powder day in the westerrn Whites. First lap saw 3'-4' on top of a slightly spongy base at about 3200'. Second lap saw maybe 4"-5" at drop in.
A lot less below 1800', 1"-2" when we got back down.
