I was lucky enough to be at Jay Peak today for a surprise powder day. As the cool kids say, it did not suck. Knee deep in some places. And, of course, with the wind, there was no snow in some other places. Then the sun came out. Still able to find a few untracked rabbit holes in the afternoon. Multiglisse is pooped.

Nice stoke.
pics didn't go through...
ScottSki led me and ISBD and more on a tour Saturday. We found unbreakable crust, breakable crust, scary fast hardpack, and pockets of pow... even corn in the afternoon
This was a FKNA cool section, but you can see those tracks on the right, if the snow decided to grab an ankle and take you down it was over Walking Dead style and you never saw it coming.
We had fun though.

Stowe area after 4......today
can you spot the Snowshoe hare?
have some video coming soon,
Not sure that I would call it five years of planning, per se, maybe more like five years of waiting, watching, hoping, prevaricating, cursing, waiting, watching... You get the idea. The planning itself took about 20 minutes :-). Though it was helpful that, by that time, the topo was essentially emblazoned in my neural net.
Unreal pics as usual from the dark side. Weasel clan invades on Friday.

short clip from yesterday surprise powder day.
^^^^ Glad I spent an afternoon moving that huge down tree out of there in December or no one would have been skiing it this year.
TC - What are you shooting with? Great work on those.
Babies arriving in January is kind of a mixed bag. Super bummed about missing what is turning out to be a magnificent greatest coast season. But super stoked about this little guy
Buddy took pity on me and showed me some White Mountain goods saturday. Bluebird day and no crust made for some great backseat bobby turns.

Sorry photos aren't the best. I was just happy to get out.
I demoed the TECH TALK JONG! pro model this spring and their performance was unparalleled which is good because I ski in a wedge most of the time - bendtheski, 2011
Okay, sort of off-topic. Anyone have a rotating spit suitable for roasting a lamb that could be borrowed?
