    Ha, that might seal the deal for Thurs., I'll let you know after tomorrow when I see how much my legs have left. Told the ms. this morning that the out of office sign will be on my door all week, I'll pay the bill when zee powdah is all gone.

    Today was serious bidness and there was no fun at all, and I don't have any pics to prove it either...although one participant had one of them fancy camera things on his lid so maybe there will be proof.

    Get it whilst it's still here people!

    Burke is in the tough spot "in between" the population centers. However, Ginn was only really there for a year and didn't get a chance to enact their crazy master plan (thank God) before the Real Estate crash in 2008. Bobby lost his shirt in Florida real estate which had nothing to do with Burke's performance.

    The Q is currently building a Hotel/Lodge at Burke. With some actual beds at the mountain, we will get to see if Burke can become more of a destination.

    He always has had an angle. If eb5 is still happening I would assume that area qualifies. Build with others monies then sell your portion and gtfo. Who knows.

    FD - what are you talking about...don't tell me it's snowing up there!!

    And NEK, I hear you about Ginn. (Tho I thought they had it for 4 years?) I am hoping for Burke and yes, that eb5 money is probably like a shit magnet for Les FBN Otten.

    Acadia 2/28->3/1

    Gibbs and Fenris hit it in better snow. Talked with a Ranger who Telemarks as part of his patrol-what a job. Said he talked with Ben a couple weeks ago when he was up. So I guess it will be an episode next year. Wonder if Gibbs was in with that crew.

    Grew up in Bangor and I am quite sure this is the deepest snow in Acadia National Park since skis first schussed on the East Coast.

    Saturday was a bluebird day. Tried Huguenot Head, Champlain and Dorr Mountains. Lots of open terrain, but most of it was sun affected mank. I did find some steep billy goating above Sieur de Monts Springs. Storm skiing must have been amazing.

    Sunday my brother joined in and we found good snow that had avoided the sun and nice terrain on Sargent Mountain. Were able to get in some good long runs with openings all the way down facing North. I even got in a short pillow line.

    looks nice on Dessert, sure was a pretty day.

    Skiing on the wheel was top notch today, big wind didn't pound on the snow long enough to slab it, just moved more to some areas.

    First time the thermometer has read above freezing since mid January! Now at 33.3 degrees a few miles west of Magic. Very minor wet layer (can't really call it a crust) formed on the ungroomed snow as a result.

    NATO Telefest at MRG this weekend. 40th Anniversary and last one, according to Dickie. The place will be packed with freeheelers. Lift lines could be ridiculous....okay, okay, they will be ridiculous.

    Thinking of trying to ski Friday at someplace I've never been before.

    What about Pico? Bringing a couple of kids with me.
