All this down is awesome, but what about the up?

Magic was totally great yesterday and got to ski a couple of runs with Garyfromterrace but somehow, I feel like I made the wrong choice...I've learned my lesson; never turn down an invite from Peruvian!

Heaven's Gate, GMX, Summit, Inverness and North Ridge currently on Win Hold

    Add Valley House

Skiing was half and half. The snow was awesome with copious amounts of wind transported snow equaling refresh city. The current -8` mid and constant 35-50 mph wind, not so much. Minute or two wait for chairs kept the action quick and the facemask/mitts did their job. Castlerock lift ride was brutal with full in the face wind but Liftline snow made up for it. Jedi E** stayed out[good on him] saw SkiFish4life and he claimed he was "toasty", Surface Whore was bummed to have pulled a lesson today.

Sun seems to be out, so much windblown snow in the air now I can't see Steins.

Too cold for this old fart to ski today so I thought I'd relive yesterday for a minute or three.

Stowe says -17F at top of quad at 12:05pm, but Sugarbush reporting +4F on top of Mt Ellen at 2pm. How is that possible?

Summit quad is closed today. There's no one there to read the thermometer.

Hickory received 2-3 overnight and the same wind that buried yesterday's tracks did in a powerline somewhere ending the t bar and poma 2s day. Poma 1 came back online just as i finished dialing in my skins for other skis in the car resulting in a real "oh shit" moment. Had a blast skiing with a grandfather named ken from near Albany. Hope I'm ripping around the adk woods and skiing slides while my kids are teaching their kids.

Not that I have any that I know of.

Great day today at Ragged with BigDaddy, Bern43, and Geomorph. It was damn cold and the wind was unreal, but the foot of blower pow and the lack of crowds meant we had as much as we wanted. What a great place!

    BD rips some untouched

All that said, Ragged is terrible and no one should ever ski there.

You got that right Bottleman and awesome stoke bud, dig seeing the Midd folks getting after it so much

Tough to stop getting out, regardless of temps, when it continues to be perfect skiing hiking around:

I actually earned my turns. I'll let MSB explain how he "earned" his beers.
