Published on Jan 18, 2015:
"Video tribute to Dallas Taylor, drummer for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Manassas and Stephen Stills. Dallas died January 18, 2015 at the age of 66.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Déjà vu Country Girl (Whiskey Boot Hill/Down Down Down/"Country Girl (I Think You're Pretty)" is dedicated to Dallas Taylor's "Country Girl" wife Patti Mcgovern-Taylor. Country Girl was written, sung and guitar/harmonica played by Neil Young.
Patti announced the news via Facebook today. Dallas Taylor began his music career with the band Clear Light before meeting Stills and being invited to perform on Crosby, Stills & Nash‘s groundbreaking debut album. Less than a year later, he was back behind the drum kit as the trio became a quartet with the addition of Neil Young and recorded the 1970 masterpiece 'Deja Vu.’
Dallas Taylor stayed with Stills for the guitarist’s 1970 self-titled solo album, and joined him in the highly underrated group Manassas for their 1972 and 1973 albums. Taylor later worked with Van Morrison and Paul Butterfield.
In 1985, he began working as an addiction specialist, dedicated to “providing alcohol and drug interventions and recovery help to individuals and their loved ones throughout the United States and abroad.” "

^^^I don't like the offspring since I found out that Dexter Holland is much smarter than me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dexter_Holland
Same with Brian May from Queen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_May#Astrophysics
Honorable mention to Tom Scholz.
