Headed back to the local hill this afternoon. Didn't have a ton of time, but did a couple laps and found some nice dense supportable pow. 1"-6" with some drifts here and there. Saw a few other tracks but not much traffic. That will likely change this weekend. I suspect every uvm student with a new $3k at setup will be up there stomping around.

Photos were tricky due to snow, fog and nightfall.

From Rocktober to Snowvember, I can dig it. Thanks for putting up the fast grass (and better) stoke. Just nice to see the hills covered up by a few inches, even on the small screen. Hopefully won't be too long now for some consistency.

One to six is better than one to none for sure, slowly getting better. We need some freezing of the ground soon. Be careful out there tomorrow fighting the crowds.

Snow from Bethel to Rochester, Icy in the gap; somebody spun out and needed the Hook. Snowed from Hancock and continued as I wended my way up Plunkton to E. Warren. Gonna have to scrape the car windows in the AM.

^^I plan to go Tuesday. Looks like it could be another mild day. I saw Warren Miller tonight. Best one I have ever seen. Cordova, Alaska heli skiing, Chamonix, and Hokkaido all before intermission. Then Greece and Norway. Bucket list keeps growing.

Loaf opens tomorrow with over 1700 vert accessed off of the superquad. 5 trails, 2 ways down. Up to 6 inches of new snow. One of the loafs earliest openings i'm guessing.

Very nice conditions yesterday at Bretton Woods with a few inches of fluff on top of snowmaking whales.
Hope it's good again this evening. . .

BW was solid, sketchy, early season, nighttime fun. It was a pleasure skiing with moops and JS, and to see a bunch of you at ESAW. What a great day!

    Watchoo complaining about?
Almost all of it was groomed, and just for us!
(Although otherwise the snow made last night would have been unskiable - lucky we were....)

    The Kitty opens….and free too!

Surprise! Wildcat Mountain will open Sunday, November 9 at 10 a.m. offering top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Lynx trail via the summit quad chairlift. There will be no novice or beginner terrain available and early season conditions will be variable. Seriously, it's early season, expect the unexpected, but we'll be making every effort to groom overnight tonight...but some of that snow was just made today.

Skiing and riding will be FREE on Sunday, November 9! You will have to obtain a lift ticket, but it will be free on Sunday. Considering the time of year and the approaching holiday seasons, we do ask you to donate at least two canned good food items or a small cash donation on behalf of local food pantries.

Look at that, day skiing, night skiing, free skiing. Things are shaping up.

    Sure was pretty yesterday

On another note, word is the bush is going to allow skinning at north this year. That is fine with me as I rarely ever ski over there. Some sort of pass will be required and routes will be set.

MNIAW and I hit up Okemo this morning. 1300' total (although only 525' continuous).
