LB is a good trip, but it's a mountain work day at MRG.

    On another note:
Yesterday was another day above 3000 feet.

Got sassed by birds and, on the way out, noticed moose prints over our hike in foot marks.

Some of the ferns were getting yellowish but amazingly most looked very hardy for this time of year. I love wandering about in the boreal zone.

Havent cooked a single piece yet. Going to smoke a chunk of the belly and bring it to ullrfest though.

Today my lunch contains toro and loin, and some white rice. Figure it would probably cost about $100 at a sushi restraunt.

Do you know if that is for all shows in the area? i.e. Burlington?

I checked it for the Portland show and the tickets were all M-F so not much good for me. I only go to the Warren Miller shows for the tickets. Reminds me of Disney and Disney makes me sick to my stomach.

    Felt more like August today.

I went last year and the movie was just bad. As Cat noted, the tix were all mid-week and those days are tough for me. Didn't use a single one.

Happy Indian Summer All! Record high temp in Burlington was set yesterday, I hope it gets cold before ski season.

Riding is all time with dry leafy trails in the backyard

I went for a long Sunday ride and hit up some of the trails I built in the 90's in my ski/bike bum period.

View of the lion from Ridgie,

One of the many features I built into the Cyclone is the "circle turn" , been a while since I rode this one and it was still a good time, except for the climb home.

But alas, no more time to build trails as I need to get back to this house I am building for a nice young couple from Sanibel, the view from my office is very nice

65.1` and windy bob, contractor pig roast at the lumber yard today, yum.

Rog? I was worried, my prediction for the number of aliases he would need to get through the season was looking to be wayyy off.

Looking like some extended flurries for N VT on the GFS and cold weather for the end of the month. Anyone for a mini early season WROD summit at Sunday River the first Sunday in November? For the regulars I have lodging in N Conway.

His fourth alias thus far for 2014 finished up on Thursday with 16 posts:

On a more positive note, after trenching out the off-camber element at the beginning of the Berkshire East rando race backcountry skintrack yesterday afternoon, I had enough time for a scouting hike on Greylock for the new course layout there this season:

Quick summary of the new route:
    1. Start at the gazebo in the left of the picture.
    2. Skin to summit lighthouse in the top middle of the picture.
    3. Ski down to gazebo.
    4. Repeat #2&3.

    Ouch!
Just in case that is not clear: That's gonna hurt!

On a not entirely depressing note...this may be the year I don't go out to see the ski movies...but I will probably get "Some Thing Else" (PW) and drink at home.

Serious. I don't think winter starts until the thread starts.

I'll take 70's and 80's all day if this is at the end of the forecast:
