SS Stowe suffferfest?!
I believe I am free the whole day. we could also go check out Morrisville as well...... depends on the wetness factor.
My SS is now a long travel hard tail so its more suffering going up but so much fun going down!
Huh.

Florence Nightingale's Stormtrooper
Damn it granite!Another sidewall blown out. Looked like a clean knife cut...stuff is sharp!
Used some tube glue, gorilla tape, and the tire had stans already. The thing held air! I'm not going to ride it like that, I was just messing around to see if it would work. I can ride it with a tube and be fine for a good amount of time I'm sure, but I ordered a couple new Weirwolfs anyway.
Rode from the Sandwich Notch up Guinea Pond Trail to the junction of Bennett st trail and what I call Flat Mt Pond trail. I started kind of late but I think I can make to Flat Mt Pond.

we used to ride to the shelter at Flat Mt Pond, once or twice a year.
it's a long day, but it's beautiful out there.

Legs are still sore from the VT50 this weekend, though I did keep my self moving quick enough to take top prize in the Novice Clydesdale class. Goal for next year is to not be able to compete in the Clydesdale class though. Lugging less weight up those hills will be much preferred....
Anyone in RI/CT interested in a fun event, check out the CCAP Donut Derby on October 25:

hey Austin I PM you but no response!
I am trying to decide between the Bear Brook Boogie and Stowe with ya..... I think bear brook will be drier....
Night rides!
One of the trails I built a couple years ago a hunter had marked it out with these reflective tacks so he could follow it in the morning or evening hours. It's awesome for night rides, especially with leaves starting to cover the trails. You don't even notice them during the day.
So yesterday I went to the local hunting/outdoor shop (in my desk jockey work clothes) to buy some. The hunter dude employee was like 'those are for trails...trail marking!' Kind of tilting his head. I think he though I was looking to hang my Farrah Fawcett poster from '78 or something. Classic.
austin kinda sux to try to communicate with. I'm sure you'll hear from him late saturday night
bear brook boogie, eh? Such a great loop they mark out. Plus you can add what they don't. I'm planning on mt A with a group at 8am. Far drive for you. If that ride doesn't pan out and the wifey is doing ok, i may head over to the boogie.
Poker ride up at the BETA trails in the Lake Placid / Wilmington area this Sunday. Always a good time.

Whoops.... sorry I guess I'm not logged in most of the time I browse tgr. Anyway I was thinking Stowe or KT Sunday. I think I'll be with a friend who is a little on the slower side but is definitely a trooper who can keep going for ever and crank out plenty of miles albeit not at a record pace.
Anyway, I'll pm you my phone number and we can figure something out.
And Rogeven though it's true.
yeah even if it does rain hard on saturday, there are places that will not be that wet. Heck the 2 new trails in town need some rain as they have turned into Moondust!! with that said I truly think we have one of the best Flow trails in vermont now..... FWIW. Well find something to ride hopefully not repeating much we did last time.
Rode Stratham last night and they're adding some new flowy bermed stuff thru the clear cut. It's going to be a nice addition when it gets broken in. I also rode two new (to me) trails...or maybe they're rerouted as they are partially in the clear cutting...but those were super fun trails also.
