Always charging it in honor of Flyin' Ryan Hawks.
I despise most IPA's, and don't even get me started on "Session IPA's".
But this shit was pretty righteous...

Stopped into Cannonball Creek in Golden the other day and was pleasantly surprised by their Mindbender IPA and their Black IPA was one of the best I've had in a while. Definitely worth checking those guys out.
We'll be returning to CO for the weekend is there anything I must pick up? From MT so we only get New Belgium (as far as CO beers) up here. Bottles or maybe a growler to pick up in Ft. Fun.
In Fort Collins you've got a pretty good selection. I'd hit up Odell's for sure, it's hard to go wrong there. Otherwise, Coopersmiths, Ft Collins Brewery and I'm sure a few more new ones are all around that part. If you make it further south, there's a ton more breweries, too many to name.
I'm aware of the ample amount of breweries and their staple beers as we lived there for a while but I was asking for specific beers to pick up while I'm down there such as seasonals, etc. I don't have time nor the patience to not chokeslam Front Range hipster fucktards on a brewery tour so I plan on hitting up a liquor store and stocking up on IPA's that I can't get up here.
I go no further south than Lyons on principle.
Gubna and whatever Avery has in bombers are on the list.

Then do that, but only breweries can fill and sell Growlers in CO, so since you asked about growlers, I assumed you would like to go to a brewery. And not every brewery is full of hipster fucktards and I doubt they'll make you take the tour. You'll also generally get fresher beer there than at the store, which is especially important for the IPAs.
And if you insist on Avery, the Maharaja is a solid choice, as is Hog Heaven(They call it a barleywine but it could also be considered a DIPA). From Odell, Mercenary, St Lupulin, or just the IPA are all excellent, just depends on what kind of hops you like.
ETA: stuff

Greenflash green bullet, thats how im pre-gaming before grabbing some 120 on tap.
Auburn Alehouse in Auburn, Kalif. makes an outstanding IPA. Great food, too. Every time I'm in the area, like right now, I'm reminded of how good this place is. Nothing bottled, that I'm aware of, though.
Your dog just ate an avocado!
They bottle.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

^ and any decent bottle shop in the Bay Area. Definitely Beer Rev in Oakland carries Gold Digger. PU420 is a bit hardeer to find.
I bet you the Strawberry Market on 50 has it. That place has awesome beers.

Enjoying my first stone go to ipa -> YUM!
Friends mentioned to me that pliny is $30 at specialty beer shops in the beltway with nearly regular pricing on other rr flagship beers.
that's fucking nuts. and I like RR. jeebus <5 years ago went to the taproom on a weekday afternoon and it was mostly empty (like 5-10 people). heard the soundcheck for the charity fest and got shittied in an empty bar.
wonder how many will be left when the 3rd craft beer bubble bursts.
Yep. He even took a photo at one of the shops cuz he knew peeps would think he was exaggerating.
Thanks man. I'm in the Auburn area this weekend working a race. Gonna check out Ikeda's.
Never stopped at that little market in Strawberry.
Here's my tip for all y'all- the little market on Soda Springs Road (off Hwy 80 like you're going to Sugar Bowl ) pulls in small shipments of Pliny the Elder every couple months or so. It's not put in the main fridge, but kept in back under wraps. You'll have to ask the dude at the register for some.

a lot of shops and groceries that i've seen in the grass valley/nv city area limit the number of pliny's that you can buy per day.
Are you guys talking about Pliny the Younger being $30 a bottle? Blind Lady ale house in SD has Pliny the elder on tap quite often.
^ Younger isn't bottled. We're talking about Elder. It's stupid, yes. You guys want to see pricey beer bottles ... try looking for Cantillon bottles stateside.

Wow I'm feeling lucky to have had it so often for $6 a pint.
Wow, I got a case of PTE given to me last year. Should have just sold them.
