When is the construction going to be done on 36? Talk about a clusterfuck all the time.
really? I think they're actually doing that construction really well, especially considering the size of the job. and I'm on it, unfortunately, every weekday (though thankfully in a bus most of the time).
To answer your question, Denver-Broomfield is supposed to be finished 2015, and Broomfield-Boulder in 2016.

When did CDOT change the speed going down to 470 from the top of Genesee? I noticed for the first time last week it is now 65 instead of 55. I always thought 55 was a joke since nobody ever went that slow.
Yeah, that place used to be really bad (profitable). It changed last fall.
Bastards love to sit on the overpasses
ROLL TIDE ROLL
They finally figured out constricting traffic by speed limit a the end of the artery starts jams and doesn't let them clear.
And yet they thought rolling harmonization was a good idea instead of enforcing left lane laws.![]()

not relevant to this thread, but I-25 in Denver is going to be closed between Santa Fe and 6th this weekend (saturday night to monday morning).

Has anyone been on 36 from Lyons to Estes? Is it still slower to go that way vs St Vrain Canyon and past Meeker Park?
^^^ buddy took it up after 4th July, said it was stop and go. CDOT said it was closing this week until the 8th.
edit: yep... closed. http://www.cotrip.org/roadConditions...lert&id=202003
They were metering 70 E yesterday for shoulder sweeping?
On a seperate note.....people use their brake WAY too much
ROLL TIDE ROLL
So I drove to Denver early this morning. Hit the twin tunnels before it was light. There was something new to me. From the east side of the tunnel eastbound until about 1/3 of the way up the hill the lanes were marked with white LED lights. The whole thing was like driving on an airport taxiway at night.
Can't believe how few people understand the idea of a passing lane and a travel lane. Just bc there's a truck a 1/4 mile up in the travel lane, doesn't mean you should sit in the left lane going 55. It's amazing.

Chain enforcement or 4x4/ AWD requirements are a much more reasonable proposition, as weather and volume are the main drivers of I70 congestion.
