You can't be from Seattle and not heard of a CSA! Shit I think it was invented there.

Community-supported agriculture (CSA; sometimes known as community-shared agriculture) is an alternative, locally-based economic model of agriculture and food distribution. A CSA also refers to a particular network or association of individuals who have pledged to support one or more local farms, with growers and consumers sharing the risks and benefits of food production. CSA members or subscribers pay at the onset of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest; once harvesting begins, they receive weekly shares of vegetables and fruit, in a vegetable box scheme. Often, CSAs also include herbs, honey, eggs, dairy products and meat, in addition to conventional produce offerings. In theory a CSA can provide any product to its members, although the majority of CSA operations tend to provide produce, fruits, and various edibles. Some CSA programs also include cut flowers and various ornamental plants as part of their weekly pickup arrangement. Some CSAs provide for contributions of labor in lieu of a portion of subscription costs.

Got that right. Let a neighbor borrow my 100' extension cord all nice and coiled up when I gave it to him. He Brings it back all fucking daisy chained. WTF, not how I gave you my cord. The only people doing that are sheetrock guys and "framers". I removed the chain and coiled it up proper with a hanging loop right in front of him. He hasn't asked since.

Do people do that because they don't know how to coil a cord? I've seen work trucks around with these hanging off them and always thought it seemed weird.

I've had dumbasses borrow cords and they obviously wound them with it attached to something because they came back all fubared. What kind of grown adult doesn't know that the cord has to be free on one end when you're winding it up?

^ old man taught me that many years ago..... I still forgot to do it so that annoys me.

BUT... video reminded me of a co-worker who got a new framing gun and had to demonstrate it with the same "test" it into a 2x4. Pressure was too high, went through the wood and into his radiator. fuck that was funny... got to give him a call.

People that don't understand that daisy-chaining is the most efficient way to store 100 ft power cords.

Really? So if I pick up my cord when I'm done with my work and make a nice 3 ft coil with no kinks or tension on the loops and secure it cleanly it's not as efficient as daisy chaining? It takes way less time than daisy chaining and when I'm ready to use it again I just plug it in and lay it down and it will spool out kink and tangle free. I guess it won't look as cool dangling from my rack though.

Where you're wrong: daisy-chaining takes less time than coiling and it comes out kink-and-tangle-free. And you're not going to look cool no matter what you do.

You're missing the point: the guys who daisy chain their cords are all getting paid hourly. By "most efficient" Meadow Skipper meant it is the most efficient way to dog it for 5-10 minutes a couple times a day. Do that every day and you've racked up a few hours of overtime in a pay period.

I guess I've been doing it wrong for 40 years or so, maybe I should call my dad who has spent around 60 years using extension cords every day for work he's been doing it wrong too. I still think it's a solution without a problem, people can't figure out a simple task so they reinvent the wheel.

I've seen people do it in person and on YouTube, it's not faster. Maybe everyone else in the world is doing it wrong except you.

Wow, I had no idea cord winding was such a controversial topic!

And what's the deal with the guy's eyes in the "How to Coil and Air Hose" video? Creepy.

My wife, the doubter and naysayer in chief. Hasn't had a fucking idea about what to do or how to do it in years, but has every second guess in the fucking book.
