Sometimes words aren't needed. I was tee-heeing to myself at my pronounced gaperness in style and ability all day on this guided mountain tour

Friend to a ski shop employee at Big Sky: "Do you have the Icelantic catalog?"

Guy looks confused, finally says, "I don't think Icelantic makes a ski called the Catalog."

No...I mean that little paper booklet thingy...oh forget it.

So at abasin I see a couple on the traverse that goes across the east wall.
The guy was in his skis and carrying another pair of skis.
The other pair of skis belonged to the woman who was WALKING on the traverse in her ski boots.
In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...

and the things they do in return. I would have to see the woman before deciding how strange that was.

30 years of marriage and the only time I ever carried my wife's skis was the time she broke both her wrists. Oh, and the time she broke her tibial plateau (but she did ski down to the gondy to download.) And she's till at it.

If you think that this wasn't posted when it first appeared two months ago you clearly don't understand this forum and the people on it. : )

Not bad. I was just pointing out that folks here seem to have an obsessive interest in cannabis-related matters.

Outside top gondola station clicking into my skis and I am asked "Where can I get the bus?"
    I I ask , "the bus to where?" .
They respond with "The bus off the mountain, my legs are tired and I don't feel like skiing down to the base."
She could not understand that buses do not drive up the piste to the top of the gondola.

You should put all of your posts together in a little book and call it "My First Year in the Mountains."

But hey. You're great. Keep up the good work.

I think I once had someone flash headlights at me for deer in the road. Not like around a high speed blind turn or anything, but just right there. Um. I'm gonna keep rolling forward till they gtfo the way. thanks. I don't remember very well because it wasn't important and it was a while ago, but I think he was just sitting in the road waiting for the deer to get out of the road or away from the side of it or something. Local plates too. If you always waited for the deer to get out of the way first, you'd never get out of that part of town. IDK, don't wanna judge to harshly. Maybe he had a little kid in the car ogling at them. He wasn't exactly holding up traffic.
    No longer stuck.

While I was loading the lift on Sunday afternoon, the liftie came out of the shack and tossed a cup of salt on the ramp to keep it firm. One of the skiers I was sharing the chair with, a lady from the East Coast who'd never skied in June before, asked what he was tossing. Without skipping a beat, the liftie replied, "Snow seeds". She proceeded to talk my ear off about it the whole way to the top, amazed that there was such a thing.

jesus, you stay inside your shitty office and stanky apartment all the time after moving to McBoulder 1 year ago, and you're not a gaper?

wait. I forgot. you frequently say "get the red ones" here in Maggotville. that proves you're no gaper, gaperboy.

you really are the poster boy for Internet Hipster, Meatspace Loser.

I tip my hat to the liftie; I hope you kept up the charade.
