crab in my shoe mouth
I wouldn't say overrated but overhyped maybe.
Here is an underrated 5-8 show, great recording.

Now see, uh, all these people in the front are getting horribly smashed
the china cat teaser!
"play california!"
Hershey 85 !
Dave's pick volume 10 came in the mail this week. 1969 gooodness
It's a damn fine showing! Dave and his crew did a fantastic job with that mix. Really impressed. The bonus material from the night before is excellent as well.
There is obviously a ton of the band's music available for free but this series is knocking the cover off the ball lately. Doubt you will find this quality!

a little late to the party, but 7may72 rocks. glad i grabbed it before it became more difficult to pull offline.
Yeah, I stayed away for many years. Not sure why. Maybe it was cuz I thought I had access to good tapes and then files. I started using some bits and pieces from official recordings on my radio show a few years back. Had to stop doing the show but I still have access to the material. Some of the Road Trips stuff and the Dave's series are really outstanding. Many of the shows are on the archive, (not all!), but you simply won't find better sound. Yes, if you have to have aud there are some rivals but this stuff is excellent. If you can spring for it, go for it!

Back to the Eighties

I woke to a quite house this morning and made it through the entire show before my 2 year old woke up. I really enjoyed the Saint, Bobby had great energy for it.
Hunter Seamons is a magician with his Matrix.
Here's another I was listening to all week, same '82 era. Brent goes crazy again.

In the odd case one of you guys looks at this real soon...
The Headcount show with Ratdog and a bunch of special guests is streaming for free through www.tourgigs.com . The streaming quality, (audio and video), is nothing special but thought I'd give you a heads up.
Just tuned in for the second set. So far it sounds more like one of those, "you had to be there" shows but it's still a chance to sit on the couch and enjoy the music. Some cool guests coming up!

At the Brooklyn Bowl.
Hometown show for me. Caused a lot of controversy with the side show/shakedown antics. Really too bad but I sure did enjoy myself. Not the best of the year but still purdy good and worth a listen if you haven't heard it.

Interesting show that I haven't listened to in a while. I remember being pissed when this tour was announced because of all the Midwest shows being a spoiled EC'er but you guys deserved some love after 88 being so heavy with eastern seaboard shows.
Great source with Phil and Brent prominent in the mix throughout. You can tell Brent isn't in top form, especially during Blow Away, but this version is precursor to the all time best played (imo) later that summer on 7-7. Although somewhat short, the PITB is very well played and ranks in the top 5 for the year.
Keeping with the 89 theme.

Probably my fav 3 show run in my 10 yrs touring. All 3 brought it but I think this might be my personal favorite, probably because of the Bird Song and the perfect transition from sugar mag>scarlet.

Thats nice.
DSO is making a 3 show run through Colorado, at great venues, I'm bummed its over July 4th weekend. The shows at State Bridge are really fun, plus you can stay at cabins stumbling distance from the show. Here's a solid '85 show with a Space -> Mississippi Uptown second set opener. Funky show, with a short but good The Other One
