Any signs of natural slides or other instabilities out there?

Skied shit for brains today. Fun, but sideslipping boarders have kind of fucked it up. The humps toss ya around some.

Basin was fun. The Zuma cornice was great to huck off.
Some decent snow left in narrow N. Pole and the Verticals

I had only skied Zuma once before today and never the cornice. That was pretty fun. Nice spot

Possibly. We were a group of 3, and another guy was coming up behind us on the ridge, didn't see where he stopped to drop in though. There was a group of 6 that dropped into Chihuahua before us - maybe some of them dropped into Marjorie?

More details: how was the skin up, was there snow from the beginning? How was the snow near the bottom?

I want to hit this but don't think I can for a couple of weeks, can you guesstimate, is there enough snow for that?

Skied Uneva today. Unreal windy from just below the saddle and up. Wind kept it from totally corning up but it was grippy at least. The ski out was sticky. I'd guess 50 sustained and higher gusts. Thought I was going to be blown off the top with a couple of gusts

How is the upper east wall terrain holding upon the warmer temps? Lots of rocks? Or is coverage good in 1st, 2nd and North Pole?

Had a really good weekend camping out in the park. Corn harvest was really really good this weekend. Although it's going fast! Amazing how much snow melted out just this weekend.

I think it will be skiable for a while. There should be some good turns to be had in there for a couple of weeks. Maybe not if it keeps hitting 70 degrees in town.

We hit the trailhead at 7:15 and topped out around 10. You could skin from the trailhead but in a couple of weeks I imagine you're going to have to walk across the meadow. Skied into the couloir just after 10:30. Lots of dust on the snow as you hit the apron and most of the way up on skier's left, but otherwise it skied really well.

We hit the S of the SKY Chutes today. Bulletproof skin up was not at all enjoyable. Hunkered down in the gale force winds until skiing down around 11:30. Turns we got made it all worth it. Great creamy snow - at least until we hit all of the debris at the bottom.

Looks like Pali and Zuma Cornice runs are done for the year.

So I assume no Pali = no upper east wall? Done for season?

Can't believe how much has melted at AB in just 4 days

al has posted on his blog that if snow and colder temps return they can reopen some things. It's just too warm right now. too much water moving through the snow, the risk of a slide is too great

I would be shocked if it was passable for more than 1/4 to 1/2mi from Bakersville.

North Pole and Willy’s were open, but I think Tree & Y areas are done.
