When IT treats people like idiots. Yes, I brought the zip file locally and unzipped it. That doesn't change the fact I can't unzip any archives in any folder on any server. Yes I know I have the proper r/w permissions. That is why I am contacting IT, because something is fucked up on your end. I know what I am doing on my end.

Morons who post shit/gear for sale on ebay and have no idea what the hell they're selling. Por ejemplo:

"Hey man, can you tell me the eye to eye and stroke on that shock you have listed"

"I don't know what your referring to and can't really help you. The label says fox rp23, if that helps."

After some polite back and forth of me telling the guy how to measure it, that it's pretty essential info for a potential buyer, etc he says, "I just want to sell it as is, I'm not a mechanic"

Alrighty then, good luck with your sale, numb nuts.

and tying in with Tip's post.....

    Vanity sizing.

I esp. do not need vanity sizing in bras which works the opposite of all other articles of clothing. While they go down a size in pants, tops, skirts, they go up a size in bras to make the small girls feel .... what? ... I dunno... like they're women? They are pretty? They've got mountains out of mole hills? Personally I'm not interested in wearing porn star sized brassieres thankyouverymuch. Just leave the tag alone and quit messing with the stupid ppl.

You know the whole reason we got to this point (and Tip's) is from "super-sizing" now clothing manufactures are trying to make up for it by "downsizing" clothing tags. Ridiculous.

I dunno. I for one wish they made vanity sized Magnum condoms. I've got like 6 illegitimate kids from condoms falling off and can't afford another. What am I supposed to do, not buy Magnums?

^^ I think they are doing the same thing with condoms. I used to fit fine into a Trojan Magnum XL...now I have to wear a Durex XXL. Putting one of those on is like launching a weather balloon.

Along the same lines as the vanity sizing...thank god for the recent increase in availability of "slim fit" and "athletic cut" etc clothing. I'm 6-2 190...not exactly a toothpick and things like sweatshirts, jackets, t-shirts can fit like a fucking hefty bag if not in some sort of athletic cut since everyone is such a fat fuck. I work out a lot and I'm pretty muscular...I could fit 2 of my arms in most of the t-shirts they make...fucking bullshit looks retarded.

I've noticed a big shift away from this fat fuck gear lately. Thank you
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

Here's a review of the MSR Dragonfly. This one has everything. The details make the difference.
Starting with upside down fuel pump. (video edit... pump flipped properly)... "ok, here we go"
    "opening the air vents"
Priming ... "it's allowing the evaporation to heat up sufficiently to turn the gas... ugh... fuel...".
"it takes 1:22 to complete the... ugh... to bring it to a rolling boil"
"not ashamed to say we get paid for this. so click our sponsors link to buy one"
"it helps pay our way around Australia"
"so if you enjoyed it, please enjoy. Take care!"
    And so much more.
Great production. MSR must be proud. Corporate and sporty.

Lets just talk reviews in general. Ppl don't seem to know how to review products. They venture off into irrelevant territory and fail to give specifics as to how they used the item or details about themselves.

For example: A woman reviewing a horse blanket gave it one star because her horse rubbed his ass on the barn and caused the piping (THE PIPING!) to separate from the blanket. WTF? I have this blanket - it is AWESOME. Who the fork cares if a decorative piece comes off when the 1500lb animal wearing it rubs its ass because she hasn't wormed the thing in an age? That has absofuckinglutely nothing to do with the quality of the product and its ability to keep her animal dry. Ferchristsake it's gonna have manure and pee all over it before her horse is done with it who gives a shit about piping?

Another example: "This mattress sagged after only two years of use by my husband and me. It is a piece of crap and I wish I'd never wasted my money on it". End of review. HELLO? Can you enlighten me as to your use of said mattress? Are you large ppl? Do you have three kids that use it as a trampoline? I NEED MORE INFORMATION BEFORE I CAN CONDEMN IT!

Ppl just don't seem to understand - YMMV because they are stoopid.

One stove reviewer recommended that people throw out the storage case for the giga power stove because she broke a nail trying to open it.

On the MEC site, almost every review goes on about where they went, for how long, who with, what they ate and why. Then the rest of the review explains all the problems they had with the gear because they weren't using it properly.

A lot of times you can thank China for this vanity sizing thing. I remember this specifically in the case for motorcycle gloves for instance. A company shops around suppliers, pricing out how much it cost for a small, med, large, etc.

A lot of times a company will get tricky and just make their medium a small and still call it a medium. I remember sizing people one year in particular for gloves, "I'm a large." "Oh, you're gonna need an XXL."

May not be every time, but it happens.
"One season per year, the gods open the skies, and releases a white, fluffy, pillow on top of the most forbidding mountain landscapes, allowing people to travel over them with ease and relative abandonment of concern for safety. It's incredible."

Another stove reviewer... aluminum stove base. Turns out it was used on top of the stove instead of under.

    Stove Base boils before water
    March 10, 2012
Worst purchase that I've made. The base melted in less then 5 minutes of its first use on my Whisperlite stove, making it unable to stabalize anything and a big mess to clean up in the bush.

People who are super serious about their social causes. I'm currently stuck at a pot luck dinner for a local community garden... A friend of mine is here too - our wives are members. Everyone is complaining about some Monsanto billboard out on I70... So when we filled out our name tags, I wrote Monsanto Corp under my name, and my friend wrote Yum Brands. We wrote it kind of small and people are consistently leaning in to read what it says. The reactions are simply precious. Hippies and social activists annoy me, but this is totally making up for it.

That's pretty much right up my ally... I may like you, yet. Was at a party last night and introduced myself as Bernie Madoff, Jr. to a couple of Boston gentry, etc. Great conversation starter and made it a lot more fun.
