    ya, but....

"The Aetherius Society claims that Mount Adams (NH) is one of 10 "holy mountains" around the world.[1][2]"

    Seems legit
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aetherius_Society
    http://www.aetherius.org/pilgrimages-to-holy-mountains/

"The society also believes that it is to make the way for the "Next Master," a messianic figure who will descend upon Earth in a flying saucer, possessing magic more powerful than all the world's armies"

Holy shit, this can only mean that Fall to bottom is the next master!!!

I think here in the real world, though, spook's original statement has been proven, as follows:

Real mountains do not let infidels who release improperly secured ski boots and sidearms go unpithed.

It follows that if he had been on the real mount Adams he would have died.

    RT3 is alive.

Therefore, he was not on the real Mount Adams.

I believe that in order to show that the NH Mount Adams is real you would have to challenge the whole account or establish that RT3 was not the real-world infidel he appears to be. Shall we say another 20 pages or so?

wait, a drunken Cartographers mistake is now the divine hand of god???

Many mere mortals have fallen and perished on the first Mt Adams as well, including the same blessed spot that the young Messiah "descended" back to earth, indubitably a sign that he IS the second coming of Le Rog

I've had a few close calls with almost losing my brake-less dynafits, my buddy lost a tele ski off a ridge hike last year, I just can't imagine its possible to put your boots on while they are clicked into your skis. If you didn't lose them down the hill cause the brakes are up, you would lose your balance and fall down the... Oh wait, that part happened....

According to this...the wolf is not even close to being a deadly man-killer.

Agreed. RT3 has gone dark both here and on Epic. Time for the mods to HOF this bitch.

Word on the street is that RT3, rawj and owner of the Clippers all have retained the same counsel to fight their lifetime banishments - RT3's being self imposed.

Hugh's weak ass cynicism usually makes me want to puke, but I agree there was a bunch of piling on after the whistle on this rather effeminate tackle.

A lot of guys pack heat in the backcountry. Granted they're usually hunting, but it's not uncommon to see a .44 mag on the hip of a guy already carrying a shotgun. Most of 'em claim cougars to be the reason but whatever. OP will grow out of that kind of outlandish fear of wolves when his sack drops.

Avy training = the same old TGR cry babies. Go spend big money with some poseur before you even think of stepping out on snow. There was no avy risk that's easy enough.

As far as the solo thing - that's the only intriguing angle of this story (other than the rather pathetic self-promotion of being a total IDIOT). Soloing is it's own topic. My background in paddling is much stronger than in skiing, but I regularly go out alone in both a kayak or on skis. A lot of guys that are a lot more badass, knowledgeable and skilled than I do too. The fact of the matter is the only rule of soloing is not to expect to get any sympathy. You drown in a sieve... too fucking bad. You slide down a "waterfall" and smash your face up... too bad. OP, you'd be better off claiming your old lady slapped you around a little. She gets drunk and she's a mean drunk. Don't admit that you made a mistake alone. You were out looking for "adventure" and it found you. Did you piss yourself? That would have been good info for your blaahg.

^^^ agree with all of that except the piling on the OP started the thread looking for attention and got it. All deserved.

Whilst processing this thread all day at work it occurred to me that this may be a masterpiece of fine art by some sort of 10th degree black belt super-ninja of trolling. You know, somebody who became aware of this story by way of epic and other social media and created an ironic username here in order to sculpt the brilliance that we've witnessed herein.

God, aliens, the multiverse, sasquatch, GSA, rt3...I want to believe. I want to live in that world, and yet skepticism has soiled my pure and trusting soul.

If this is an artful troll, for the love of ullr and Rob Story for fuck's loving sake please PM me. I swear on my sacred honor I won't tell.

    that is all.

I'm missing the skiing connection here^. But if you say it's a good idea, I'll be packing from here on out.

Ah, you were there. We shouldn't have questioned his ridiculous assertions.

That sort of explains some things.
