Agreed, especially when it's a higher end hotel that you are already paying a premium for. Few years ago in San Diego, had to pay $10 a day extra on top of $300+ for the room.

Here's one - when I'm a space cadet. Other night: full moon+clear skies+fresh snow=perfect opportunity to skin up a local 12k ft. peak and maybe take some pictures of the eclipse. Grabbed a camera case out of the closet and headed out. At the parking lot - instead of the nice digital I had grabbed an old film camera with no film, and I had left my headlamp on at some point so the batteries were dead. It was still a beautiful night and the skinning and skiing were great, but it's annoying now when I see my friend's pictures of the eclipse. Mine would have been better.

This one is a beauty………I guy I work with takes his wife and 4 kids to a fine dining place in a ski town. Very $$$. He's been going 4 or 5 times a season for 15 years. Newish (2 yrs) owners at the place. Its the week after Xmas and the kids have their new IPads. Kid leaves her iPad at the dinner table. Guy calls the next morning and a staffer says "yeah I think they found one last night". Guy pops in the next night and the mgr says they don't know anything about an iPad. Laid back guy goes home to inform wife and kid. Next day wife figures out they have the gps location app. Wife flips hers on and sees that the iPad is indeed at the restaurant. She gets her game face on to head to the place after skiing to raise hell. They check again in the middle of the day and the gps app shows the iPad is now an hour away in the closest real city. They are pissed discussing their options when her iPhone rings. WOW, its the manager of a phone store saying that some people are here and they are trying to get an iPad cleaned and reactivated in their name and the app triggered some kind of response stating that its lost and to call this number…my buddies wife. Manager asks if he should call the police. Wife says absolutely. Police call an hour later and say they have arrested somebody and want to get her the iPad back. Here is the fucking kicker. It's not some poor dishwasher, ski bum waiter or angry employee…..It's the fucking OWNER of the restaurant and her 15 year old daughter that have been arrested. There's an asshole if I have ever seen one. The story spread like wildfire in the town and I hope these fucks are out of biz by summer. My bud did not press charges when asked by the police. Too nice of a guy imo.
