Nice pics Lindahl. I'd like to see more from that series
Perfect combination of sun and wind up high on Friday. The sun softened the snow just enough, while the wind kept it from getting warm enough to move.

Yeah, please feel free to post more BBB stoke like that![]()
Snowed over the Snowy Range to Walden and then to Muddy Pass and up Rabbit Ears. Pissed rain in Steamnoat all the way to Avon and finally turned to snow in Eagle-Vail, though just flurries. Sounds like the divide is getting it again.

ROLL TIDE ROLL
A visual donut hole at WP. Snow along the Divide, Never Summers and to the west, but nothing but sun and wind until about 130 when the band finally arrived. Very crusty.
Getting pummeled by wind when Panoramic took a 20 minute nap was the icing on the cake.

Looks like LL has about 10" since this morning with supposedly another 3-4" tonight. Calling in sick tomorrow for sure.
Was anyone at LL or AB? Did chair 9 run? How tracked out did everything get or were they generally empty?
Just a guess, but I don't think there's any way Chair 9 turned today. If it did, I'll bet not many brave souls were willing to deal with the conditions so it should be $$ tomorrow morning.
Abasin was great this afternoon. Batshit windy up top and lots and lots of snow.
It was snowing so hard up today up top you could not see a thing. Should be great tomorrow. Pali was getting nice and soft by the latter part of the afternoon. Not much traffic with the crazy weather conditions.
I didnt see the snow stake before it was cleared at 4pm. Was it really showing 10"?!?!
If so thats incredible as it wasn't doing that much up there all day until about 1:30 when it started puking. We left at 2:30.
9 spun but nothing was open, cat didnt run. South Gate 1 was closed all day for some reason, weird.
Also, the lot was full at 11am but the mountain was dead all day.
I rode Pano twice midday, and only did the second ride because some friends had just gotten on the lift when we got to the bottom. It sucked. The wind was brutal even on Super G in the afternoon, and by the time I left at 3:00, conditions had improved all the way to marginal.
Still, if it snows a lot tonight...

"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy
You guys at WP how did things look if you came back over Berthoud?
Or anyone have reports from Berthoud?
Saw the snow cam at Loveland, so I know it's for real, but interesting that the snotel isn't showing that 10" burst after midday.
I french kissed Kelly Kapowski.
IMO, heaviest snow was on south side of pass. Not many cars up there.
16 degrees when I came over at 330. 9News just said a low of -1 up there tonight. Should be a quality morning.
Breck saw about 10" from 2 to 7 fwiw. Pretty quiet now. Should see another squall hopefully?
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.
Loveland was grade A terrible skiing up until around 1 this afternoon....then the heavens opened up in a big way. I would believe 7-8 inches in 3 hours given the intensity of precip. By 2 it was skiable where loaded, by 3 it was getting good, by 4 it was excellent on the rights aspects. 9 did spin but terrain was limited pretty much to patrol bowl and 1 or 2 of those shots to the south which i don't know the name of...and visibility was atrocious so not much really got skied up there. Monday will definitely be worth the while.
Breck ftw. Even Keystone is in on it![]()
Beware of the crust/dust aspects. The new snow was not bonding well to the steeper faces yesterday evening. I had lots of sluff following me through the steep N facing trees as well. Which was kind of fun!
nice morning at Vail. About 3 or 4" overnight is my guess. You could feel the crust underneath but was still soft and pretty nice. I love closing week, just a good time to reflect on the season and the fun that was had and look forward to the coming weeks/months.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Loveland is very wind affected but good in spots. Just hiked Super Bowl when it opened and was the first one down from the top...it didn't suck![]()
