Well I will be on first lifts at Alpine. Hollar if you want a ski buddy. Will be breaking in a fresh pair of 191 BG's if you have a 26 boot and fancy a spin.

That right there is an epic surf set up. The high has gotten a boost from te train. But when it breaks down,there will be torrents. Should be good by Easter.

From the road, it looks the Sisters zone may have the best coverage and terrain. If I had the time, I would definitely go there, but I'll be at KW on Sat bright and early to session as much off-piste as possible sans kids.

Cindrz & me (and the SkiBus) will be at KW on Sat, too!
Bright, for sure (always), but not so much Early...

Going to NS on Sunday.
Hope they open up some of the ungroomed "thin cover" trails under Comstock, but not holding my breath.

We just booked a weeks trip to AltaBird for the 1st week of Feb, leaving here Sat 2/2 - Groundhog Day.

the ONLY good thing i can see in this, is that we who do have snow are getting to meet a bunch of Sierra skiers, good fun folks so far!!

yesterday at carson pass. it was hutchski's first day touring this year, but she still looks like a pro

she's been skiing though

yeah it was good enough to do again (and again)

in additon to being a world class awesome dog, nacho is also a certified gymnastics instructor. here he's giving hutchski a few tips

and showing her proper positioning

wait a minute. are you sure you're a gymnastics instructor???

heading down #2

it was fairly deep

then it wasn't

lunch break. nacho had serious ups and left the building

that's better

after another short lap it was time to head out. kick turns in fun places on the exit chute

and pow to the road

my boss said he heard an ad on the radio today that said squaw season passholders get 50% off at snowbird, alta, jackson, and mammoth.

Yes... and all resorts participating in the mountain collective pass, so Aspen and Whistler too. Gold passes only.

That sounds like a pretty nice perk.

Might see y'all 6, turn etc. I'll likely be lapping 1 till nap time. If the mrs does not want to ski, I get a few hours of free time.

unfortunately this makes it look like the alta/bird/jackson deal is only good for gold passes:
