let's hope so. took the doggies for a hike today and any sliding in the whites right now would require ice skates.

They set up some weird downhill ice skating cross race thing some years back around here. I guess its only a matter of time for the backcountry downhill ice skates to appear!

Wow those are some nice looking pics! A light coating of snow on the ground here in the berkshires...limited to hiking, eating, and drinking on this turkey day.

Does anywhere have a good enough base for back country? Trying to decide between NEK or the dacks tomorrow. Or is it a beer and groomer day.

Doubtful. I skied in the woods some today but only on areas that are well manicured that I knew well. (I promise I was careful Sheskistrees ). Stuff got real wind effected in Jay to the point of some runs having almost nothing. Heard Smuggs might be better.

Looks like a few inches of danelion fluff Sat night into Sunday and the Whites and Maine might get some snow Wed.

^^ That's from... when?? I'm so confused. I'm in Maryland visiting family and completely out of touch with the ski happenings up north. Does this mean I can find good skiing when I get home?

The Jay FB feed is full of woods shots. I wasn't there but image its a little early.

Things look damn good up in NEK for late November! Damn good.

Vtf - great pics! Looking good.

    More snow is good.

My go to ski partner bailed on me so bailed on the Cannon plan. Went climbing instead.

Scratched up some southern ice today. Just enough for a few top rope laps and a good pump.

Climbing again Sunday. Love this time of year!

    Snow please!

Stowe was skied off by 2pm today.
Was Not what VTF found, but plenty of nice low moisture snow in the corners.
Shoulda checked the humidity, but it didn't feel 6 degrees.
Way to many shark fins for my liking.

I have a 2fer and willl be lapping Ktown tomorrow if anybody's interested.

    Beautiful day at Jay today

Conditions were actually much better than I thought
Magic would have been 100% open with this much snow

Low angle pow was uncontested at 10.30 am

The supportable rain crust below formed a base of sorts and the 10" of new snow opened up a lot of terrain

Trees were also skiable with extreme caution

    More tomorrow

Some loose along the edges later in the day is as close as I got to pow today at Stratton. Had fun making tuns with Mrs robrox, grateful, all the way.

Also grateful to open these pages and see such nice pow pix from further North...
