Sorry to interrupt the VT chatter but up here in the Great White North, the local bump has just turned the guns on. This is unfuckingprecedented.

Looks like its going to be brisk for the next couple of days, hopefully lots of places take advantage and fire those guns up so we can have a nice base down for the next few storms.

I should be there by 10
Does anyone have some skins for 186cm/100mm skins I could borrow? Just mounted some new beaters for the season, totally forgot my 175cm/90mm skins won't fit those skis

if yer skins go edge to edge on the 175's then you'll be fine. tail clip? cut it off. they're unnecessary and its ok if yer skins are 4 inches "too" short.

I'm going to give everyone a head start before the best skier on the mountain downhill at K, so I hope a lot of you start warming up now. Go forth and pillowage. And get pics.

13" for George in the last 5 days with favorable winds. 1.7 degrees with west winds round 60 makes for a chilly morning

with a bit more snow expected, certain lines may go near t2b. hmmmmm

Time constraints kept us from reaching the top, but fully 5-8" of very supportive snow on the bottom 2/3rds of MRG this morning.

crazy right? the other night I was noticing some lil tab thingy on pics that I could click on and save to somewhere on my computer. then I remembered that photobucket place and saw that I could just dump pics/vids in there that I found saved somewhere on my computer. bam! somehow it worked!

still no I-phone, smart phone, facefuck, or twitter tho. fuck all that shit.

you know i'll mount em for ya. I mean yer my kincos spancer and all drop skis off and i'll mount em tonight.

speaking of which, tested out the new mens marmot nabu shell yesterday and I hafta say, unfuckingreal. put it on, zipped it up and skinned, skied, skinned, skied, and took breaks up top in the wind and never even had to unzip it with 2 longsleeve patagucci cap layers underneath. 4500 vert of climbing in just a few hours of skiing and the jacket breathed better than anything I've ever toured in. skied through wet snow guns with it and the water just beaded right up n off it. sick coat!

nice fit for fit folk. buy it

you can't even receive a phone pic! I got rid of all that shit too...although I've got the instapic 'cause that's just stoke, no bs.

I've got all kinds of ski stuff to do. Need to mount mine, Gavs, (both barrons) and my old Mantra's I need to pull the Naxos and mount something new. I cannot ride the Naxos with any confidence.

nope, no pics or group texts either. just got a text plan recently, the gf required it

    naxos?

I wouldn't even throw those fucking things in the trash with any confidence. i'd be afraid they'd get gangbanged and beat down by a banana peel and a tampon wrapper

I was just about to post the same thing. Was hoping we might see an early season bulletin form MWAC today or tomorrow. Light snow continues on top of the rockpile.

I hiked up Jay with some buddies last weekend. A good 4"-6" of snow cover near the top. Tried to make it to the summit of Big Jay, but had to turn back due to late start and lack of daylight. I really wish I had brought my skis up with me.

In other news, Jay is really pushing to brand itself as a "family" resort.

And starting this year, the Mountain Kids Adventure Center will feature a Plexiglas- covered ski slope so little rippers can learn while being shielded from northern Vermont’s often grumpy elements.

We were skiing on 5-8", but we had to stop just below the main snow line because we ran out of time (started late). I expect a few more inches were on tap up top at least.

And Rog, yup, that was Canyon. Sweet today!
