Another ski area online for October skiing. St-Sauveur opened for the season at 3pm. Open until 7pm. Note it has been the 3rd year out of the last 5 that MSS managed to open in October.

MSS is opened tomorrow, I believe its $5 for anyone in a Halloween costume.

While I'm upload some picture for my TR of last Saturday, I did a small blog post to mark the great start to the season.

Was the TPFx a displacement or compression? I had a displacement 2 years ago...day 1 was tentative but day 2 was Dec 27 at Magic...all tentative went away with refill all day powder. Good luck!

Thanks man. That's what I like to hear. I'm hoping I'm the same. It was a lateral compression, due to the mcl and acl crapping out. I"m subconsciously guarding it, but that is slowly going away now that I can run.

After the TKR I used a nice brace for a good while, but weaned off it. No ACL in that knee, so some regular support work is part of life.

Brace strategies vary, but since the goal is to get past needing one, some meidico/physio advice is par for the course. Good luck!

Goniff suffered the same TPFx as yours shortly after I did. He had no issues last year...and we're both pretty old. I would say the soft tissue damage will be limiting, not the bone stuff. Not a doctor but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express...

Damn, lots of former gimps, good to hear everybody is healed or close to it. Compared notes with Biff yesterday and feel very lucky based on his story, glad to hear your long road to recovery is almost over dude! 5wks in to a ruptured mcl and non-displaced fracture of the distal femur lateral condyle...looking forward to getting the all clear to start pt in the next few weeks once the fracture is healed and hoping to be out on the slopes by the time Santa comes calling. Robrox, I've been following the brace mandate so far but damn those things are a pita once you have to transition from shorts to pants!

Don't need to go for that. Speaking of that image. If I see another add on tv down here for the hermitage club I may throw up. I think that place needs a visit mlk weekend from a bunch of mags - pre-dawn skin up and nekid ski down with get away vans waiting for us! Just to let them know we love their club. The east coast yellowstone club - didn't they go bankrupt? .

Ya, I have to say I've only seen that once, but it is interesting from a business perspective. It might just survive from the CT, NY, MA crowd. At least it will spread some people out in the S Vt region.

    Truly!

We do what we must and keep on truckin. On chilly damp days I occasionally use the neoprene sleeve type braces to make the knees feel better. Even those days are getting further apart. There is hope...but only if you work at it.
