Oh! I have a novel idea, we could wait until there's actually skiable snow to start the thread.

That way we don't need to wade through the 3 pages of utterly useless horseshit we all talked about in October when we're looking for the marginally useful horseshit we post when we're actually making turns.

dude youve been here a decade and you have a novel idea that involves not wading through useless yet sometimes humerous drival to find tidbits of knowledge
    wow

does anybody really go back and reread them threads from page 1?
powderpondo called me to skied main chute sat but i wussed
said 5 turns w/out hitting rocks
then hit rocks on all but 5 turns the rest of the way
so i guess there's skiable snow mixed w/ assorted ground covers
pretty funny trackhead copied wows idea
and now every region has a conditions thread of one sort or another
seems the frozen penis snow gods liked it best when the trackheads or gnarwhales started the thread.
i'm not gonna be the one to potentially disrupt that potential 700" juju
I'll just turn this one into the obs from the tram deck, resort ramblins/stoke nws cunt n paste and who wants to ski with me
and hopefully those posts don't end up in a bc ob thread
you find a place in the bcc yet?
my bro just got back into town and i guess theyre scoring a silly fork cabin so their may be a room open @ g's crib
or pm powderpond and see if he'll let ya squat in one of his mt haven outhouses

Wull, there is a freshies dance animation.
You have a good memory, sfb.
Stoke starts when enough snow on the ground allows skiing with an actual base and when that base is likely to linger through the spring melt off.
Still a little shaky from my view in the chair.

Sarcasm meter, check the batteries in that thing, and your studfinder.

Working on tracking down a shack up there, have a good lead, just haggling details with the landlord. We should get together for a safety discussion sometime soon, been awhile.

Did some sunrise ski area mountaineering this morning. Bones and bases are still intact. Collins stake at 20" snow height.

^^^ yeahhhh!! caught one of those pics on the face book earlier today! an early season classic, though I didn't realize that shot was grassy enough to hit that soon. I think I'd be happy skiing in y'alls tracks. Were you able to keep it together on the flats to mid and beyond or did you end up having to walk toward the bottom?

^^^ Sure there are spots to ski, upslope;the bottom area can end your season, if not carefull and lucky. Skiin', B4 base is solid, is so risky.I like low snow runs, but like to wait for some solid matter between dirt and snow.Alot of peeps dont know the mountain who hike;i see groups all the time ,geekin thru rock piles ,under baldy.

heh, I actually had mentioned it as a flapping strap as well (edited it out) but the resemblance to a whippet in two pics is kinda crazy. if I didn't use pole straps i'd cut em off, but since I always do...........
