    Always.

    Went out to play the back 9 of the same course today with the wife. Shot a 47. So 37 + 47 = 84 - 13 = 71.

    What was different today:

1- Did not toke up in the lot before teeing off
2- Did not have a double vodka on the rocks at the second hole
3- Stood 1/4" - 1/2" further from the ball at address
4 -The stars and planets had moved so I was in a different place in the cosmos.

In Wooley's head, "I needed to pad my handicap".

I learned how to deal with you sandbaggers. I'll give you all your shots, but we play stroke play. You win by a shot you get a dollar, the second shot $5, the third shot $10 and so on. Gota get you sandbaggers out of your comfort zone.

that's really only 2, cuz if you'd followed the other option on number 1, you'd have noticed that the stars and planets are stationary and earth is moving really fast, which you would have factored into your putting...Try just 2 and 3 next time...

You sir, have called into question not my swing nor my choice of dog but rather you challenge my integrity for The Game. An ideal that I share with Watson and Palmer
(not Woods or Daley). An ideal instilled in me as I was taught The Game by my father, the 1939 Tri-City Caddie Champion and recognized as "The Best Golfer in the 1st Ranger Battalion to Survive".

    Your challenge is acknowledged.

As you seem to be an astute player, surely you know that most matches are won or lost prior to advancing to the first tee.

I challenge you to a contest played accordingly:

    RULES: The rules of golf

FORMAT: A game played as it was originally devised. A contest combing luck and skill between two gentleman for a token wager. Match play with full handicap

LOCATION: Anyplace that I can drive to and play for under $50 unless you are buying. If you can't get here you may substitute a local mag of my choice.

    REFEREE: 2 other Mags

THE WAGER: I would suggest a wager that I have played many times when meeting a stranger on the course. The LOSER (that would be you or your alternate) will forfeit the ball being played to the WINNER (that would be me) on the green at which the match is decided. I currently play custom Pro-V 1's that I have flown in from Florida.

Torrey Pines South Kicked my ass today . Blew up the 1st 3 holes and it took grinding the rest of the round to break 100.. Played north yesterday and did 10 strokes better. Love the F18s flying out of Miramar while playing.

The original game had no handicaps, and since some of those balls date back to those times, I would expect you to know this.

Dear Wooley, assigning money and time constraints to such an endeavor, is both crass and insipid.

We will play for one ball on the front nine and one ball on the back nine. Thus leaving you thoroughly emasculated.

    The Match

As I see it, we agree on the rules (Rules of Golf) and the wager (A full scrotum, 1/2 per side). As to the format, I hold to the neo-traditional match play with full U. S. G. A. handicap. For historical reference regarding handicaps, I will refer you to the diary kept during the 17th century by Thomas Kincaid, a medical student at Scotland’s University of Edinburgh. On January 21, 1687, Kincaid opined about the best ways to allot strokes to offer an advantage during matches: “At golf, whether it is better to give a man two holes of three, laying equal strokes, or to lay three strokes to his one and play equal for so much every hole.”

There is another reference from the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers approx 100 years later. On March 30, 1782, a club official wrote: “Captain Elphinston challenges Mr. Allan next Saturday best of three rounds, half a crown a hole, that he beats Mr. Allan with the Club against his throwing and gives him half one. No running at the throw! That match was halved.”

I would prefer a more modern handicap with the GHIN system now in use but I am willing to entertain how many throws per side we should allot.

Please keep in mind my understanding as to how the game should be played. "A contest combing luck and skill between two gentleman for a token wager."

For all I know you may be a 20 HC and you would have the benefit of a toss or three per side.

SO Awesome. This has to be the best amateur match in history, and if filmed, skiballs could lose if they play from their respective tee boxes.

GoPro this match. I think we need a TGR pool going and some additional toking up rules with BobbyF showing up, should be epic.

I love the analysis of Tiger, "he should not be worrying about his swing mechanics, he "should" be hitting shots and preparing"......

yeah dude, find me another mega successful modern golfer to compare in shot making, except phil.

I'm definitely up for a match. I've made my offer of terms.

I'll give Skiballs this in his public call out suggesting that I am a sandbagger. The natives do play a brand of golf out here in the PNW much different than I am accustomed to. Sandbagging is S O P in the 2 public clubs that I belong to. I gave a 16 HC guy his card on which he shot a 39 to kick my ass and his promise to enter his score seemed insincere. It's not too hard to do a lookup to see who has ALL of their low scores with a "T" next to it. And no putts are ever conceded, even two inchers on $1 games. Crass. And they do love the rules, real or imagined. I feel sorry for them sometimes. Especially when I call them out face to face and see them wilt.

But back to me trying to grab Skiballs' balls. Waiting to hear.

And whoever said something about separate tees, please STFU. I'm workin' here! That was for later in the game.

I have a friend in Florida who walks his two terriers on the course nearby. He says he never trained them but the two race each other to locate balls in the bushes. Every two months or so hes sends a carton of almost new Pro-V's my way.

haha. reminds me of the story about the old bull and the young bull standing on a hill overlooking a herd of cows. Young bull says "lets run down there and fuck one of those cows", old bull says "let's walk down and fuck them all"

Skiballs picking up the green fees? I respect that. And, I'll substitute at CB. I'm a 5 GHIN.

Just have a moment to acknowledge before my afternoon chipping practice session.

Chambers looks nice. I've never played it so "weaklings begging for some advantage" to you sir. I'll have to assume you are a 5. I'll entertain playing the tips. I need some time to assess their yardages and ponder how many running tosses per side I'll ask to keep it a sporting contest. I have not yet stooped to use a driver that allows young Asian girls to out drive Jack Nicklaus in his prime.

I'll give you my $50 green fee contribution on the first tee. I will assume you will be covering the caddie fees and gratuities also?

So trash/smash talking is condoned? Cool! Played that way with my bros. for the last 40. I won't yell in your back swing until later in the round.

So I offer you 18 shots and you beg for more?

Do you really think it's a good idea to play for your manhood, while your caddie is in my employ?

You're welcome to get in my head. Be warned, it's scary and dark in there.
Oh by the way, blurred has agreed to caddie for me. You are so fucked.
