Saw it today in Downtown Breckenridge. 50 degrees out, no ice anywhere, F350 with Texas plates comes by with chains on. Just started shaking my head.
Have also seen a Brit riding up the village express and later the burn at snowmass on a set of skate skis, was wondering either what he was thinking or if I'm doing it all wrong.
Lastly saw a couple with a set of CADS http://www.cads.com/ out one day. Sorry no pics of this my phone kind of sucks and I'm nowhere near core enough for a GoPro
I see those cads out a few times a season, always envision one of those poles ripping you a new one .
i finally saw my first car -- outback -- with the ski rack set on the roof rails running the length of the car. it looks so bizarre.
Wouldn't that be more wind efficient since skis are in them less often than not?

Gotta disagree on the CADS, I just saw someone this weekend on those as well and I'm grateful for the idea. When my knees are wrecked in 20 years I'll gladly sport something like that so I can keep going. Granted...they look hilarious.
Last Sunday at WP, two women with southern accents were using the term "snow bunnies" instead of "moguls." I just about fell off the lift when one of them shouted "Wow, look at that guy ... he's really slamming those snow bunnies!"
How ab out some gaper stoke? It's the annual week of Texlahoma whoop-ass and yeehaw in New Mexico, and since Sunday was the last day of the most recent storm cycle I braved the madness.
I rode up once with a lovely young lady in the middle of her second day ever skiing, and she had the biggest smile, and was chatting a mile a minute about how much she loved it.
She was doing it right and winning!
I had some serious gaper stoke going on yesterday, we had an open (free) GS course. Went and grabbed some alpine rentals and tried racing them. Which in itself isn't too funny, except that I more or less learned to ski tele and have maybe 6 alpine days in since 1990. My friends said I looked "Like a fish out of water". I had a blast and was hooting and hollering the whole way down.
Heard in the tram at Big Sky:
"Yeah, they call that the Big Corridor."
Two man tourist crew who made the bootpack up to Blackcomb Glacier today:
"Blackcomb is the highest peak in North America, dude it's like 2200m"
"See that gate over there? That's where you drop into DOA. I'd probably do it but its kindy foggy"

I'm going with British... or US with the "dude" in there!!!
From Winter Park's Railyard terrain park.
I'm getting ready to drop in. Lady skis up rocking a cowboy hat and a one piece and asks "Can I ski Railyard if I don't want to ski moguls?". I shake my head and carry on.
Also spotted a dude wearing a football helmet. Really nothing more to say.
