A few good inches of windblown at Loveland Pass yesterday.

Need more snow and a good warming to stabilize stuff. Very collapsible when you hit those spots where no skier has gone all year and likely to trigger something if you're the first one into a steep untouched face.

Heading to Crested Butte for the weekend, never been. If anyone wants to fill me in with some info I would appreciate it and probably buy you a beer. Me and another guy in the crew will have our gear for any side country hikes.

There is no sidecountry at CBMR. Resort is skiing better than I would have imagined given this season. Be prepared to billy goat and slide on tons of rocks, all day long. That's what makes CBMR a great resort: steep with rocks everywhere.

Yeah, that about sums it up. One thing I've learned in my 15+ years here is that CBMR always skis better than one might expect. That's the beauty of N facing terrain.

there are 2 T-Bars that access everything you could possibly want to ski.

ski the rambo if it's open.

the headwall is super steep and fun

My recommendation at CBMR right now is cesspool. It is a must ski.

Where there's normally a mandatory 2-4 foot air or awkward side slip...there is now 40 feet of side-slipping / stepping down rock and brush. Good times.

Comin down good in Breck. Would be surprised if Vail does poorly. Seems like a normal storm to me.

Breck the reported winner at 10 vs vail 5...

Pondering driving all the way to the boat for their 5 since I have tix. Anyone else?

In contrast to my earlier rant about the coscusa report the thing that is cool is that some of the spots are still doing an afternoon report. Like LL is saying 5 yesterday afternoon that you can subtract from the overnight that will be reported in a bit.

Winter park / MJ skied great yesterday. Lots of shin deep spots. Really soft on bumps and especially in the trees...good times.

The trajectory of the northwest flow was just a bit further east than then previous event two weeks ago, so that's why eastern areas (breck, loveland, winter park) are doing a shade better than Vail. Steamboat is right in the mix as well.

Steamboat reporting 15 up top in the last 24. Anyone been out and about in fish creek recently? No obs coming in from that zone on CAIC, but wondering how the canyon snowpack is shaping up? Will be skiing up there this weekend in blue jacket, red pants, say hai!

    From Vail's facebook

"Vail Terrain update: Blue Sky will be late opening today due to control work Ski Patrol is dealing with - they're reporting 9-18" in spots.

Sounds like Pano at WP will stay closed to tomorrow. Should be some solid turns up there. Hopefully they open additional terrain in the cirque as well
