Idk why but the CAIC GFS precip graphics show exactly twice as much precip as GFS graphics from other places.

    Edit: found what was wrong

Don't feel great about snow for the north....as usual it'll be about wind shift. We'll see!

Seems like the caic and Joel agree with you. NOAA going all in. Winter weather advisory issued this afternoon and they have upped totals for rmnp and north this afternoon.

As I said, seems too good to be true.

I don’t know what they’re accounting for. Maybe tomorrow afternoon when the winds start shifting to the W and NW they have the ‘Boat going off.

Danskier, what's going on with that GFS?

Please tell me this storm isn't shifting North. All lined up for a road trip to Wolfie this weekend. Are they still going to get the goods tonight/tomorrow?

Looks like some white stuff falling at Silverton and Telliride. WC still dry.

Will tomorrow mournings totals been an indicator for Sunday totals?

I'm allmost ready to gamble on CB?

CB looks solid for this weekend, one of the best choices you can make IMO. 1-2' by Sunday per NOAA, plus they just started opening some of the expert terrain off High Lift and North Face

I showed up at about 11 and people were saying it was coming down like no one business from 9am to 10:30. Intermittent snow and sunshine until I left at 2:30. Conditions are pretty sweet though.
Yeah. You're probably more right. It was a mixed bag from an 1" on bullet proof front side to boot top in soft base on Paul's, etc. I arrived around 1pm until last bell. It was almost white out for a bit and there were still untracked spots on 5 and 8. Nice surprise and good warm up for the next few days and beyond. I hope the cold comes and stays around for a while.....

Radar as it's looking now has it being Steamboat for tomorow, and maybe Snowmass or Beav.

Little blip west of Denver for Echo maybe?

Out of all the resorts in Colorado, it's going to be one of those three? Did the forecast for the Southern mountains completely fall apart?

    Don't know?

I've been watching radar, and checking webcams.

Forecast have been a pain for this storm!

No snow and 37 up here at the moment. I wouldn't expect anything here until tomorrow when the front passes.

28 up here now. No snow whatsoever coming over Rabbit Ears. Maybe the front is slowing down?

    Sent from Steamboat.

NOAA jacked up the forecast for Loveland pretty good... 2-4" tomorrow, 4-8" tomorrow night, and another 3-7" on Sunday. With my season so far, I'll gladly take the low end of those estimates for a good day on Sunday.

We called bullshit on the beav and got second buggy up Vail, had some fun wailing north star with no tracks and went to champagne and montaine, was great for an hour then had fresh tracks in Pete's till noon then mushy, 5" at least on SE.

Was a great day, 25,000' and no lines, blue skies. Monday could be $$

When did ski country usa start not updating till 5:45?
I thought they were hitting 5am consistently and sometimes 4:45.
6am does us stupid fucking front rangers no good at all on a powder saturday.
Maybe they just gave up for the year...

edit I guess at least they have the individual date and time listed this year. Maybe it is up to each resort to get the report in and it gets updated real time? I guess it's the resorts not wanting to put the bad news out...

What do you want to know? Doesn't look like much snow anywhere. Aspen Highlands put up 4", Breck was the winner of the Vail Resorts with 2". Haven't seen a report from Steamboat or Monarch yet, but CDOT cams show at least some snow at both places.

I should just stop getting excited when I read 'cut-off storm'.
