The Passion is in the Risk
Well, I didn't see any of you fuckers yesterday...but I was the best skier on Ramshead!
Hopefully in a few weeks at Magic!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
Sunday River/Saddleback/Sugarloaf gettin it

Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
Solid first half of the day at the rivah. 8" overnite at the base, 10-12" at the top, hasn't stopped snowing. Apparently a bigger storm is coming in tonight.
Pow is nice density, cold and dry here...
^^^Nice! Really trying to get up there for Wed AM. Get some!
ha, ha... you didn't need the middle finger. Basically you're being there and giving the snow report was fu enough.
Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!

Looks like the Bottles are heading to Maine. Spent many days at Sunday River back in the Pleistocene epoch and though it's a fine Hill, been there done that so thinking of busting my cherry at Saddleback or Sugarloaf. Thoughts, recommendations? Was there any natural base on the ground before this week? Will projected snow totals be enough to cover the Kennebago steepsAny info would be most appreciated.

Rog you wanna run it back tomorrow?
I'll fly
Bottle, I'm thinking about Saddleback too, mainly for the same SR reasons (Gould patrol). In the process of hassling some of the patrollers to find out about terrain by Wednesday. Saddleback has $29 tickets through Thursday, and the loaf is $39 for Maine residents on Wednesday.
anyone from mass/Boston want to organize a day trip on wed to Maine ???
A woman reported to police at 6:30 p.m. that she was being "smart-mouthed."
Saddleback has had limited snowmaking this year so I would pick Sugarloaf for the many trails that already have had the base laid down. Now if it hits 30" like the map says, then it won't matter much. Still a nod to Sugarloaf for much better terrain and the higher speed lifts.
First two DP runs this morning were the best of the year. Hope it keeps getting better.
Driving to Saddleback tomorrow for Wed Day trip.
But today held us over nicely. We got to our Dawn Patrol destination and were expecting serious wind affect. It was instead a blanket of open steep pow from 6-10" depending on where the Lee was. Felt great to be back in it.
Lap2
Afternoon skin. starting to sleet a bit, so shots were tough.
Good day of skiing pow and skirting the people to keep it fresh
